BMW M12

The BMW M12 4-cylinder engine produced well over 1300 hp in 1986. I am sure with current technology, there will be even more power if they don't put a limit on boost. Don't under estimate the power of a 4 banger.

Not true. Current F1 cars have around 700-750 bhp. The old V10s made 800-900bhp (I think BMW peaked around 900-950 hp)

Do yourself a favor and make the trip. I went last year, and it was terrific. The track lends itself to great racing, the city is fantastic, and the atmosphere during the F1 weekend is like Mardi Gras. Best F1 weekend I've ever had (and I've been to quite a few!)
