Ummm....very sad from Arsenal
I'm not a fan anyways...I like EPL style of play (aggressive)...but somehow its not as refined as spanish Oh and the other massively annoying thing about soccer/football -- all of the good players are monopolized by the following teams: 1. Real Madrid 2. barcelona +- athletico madrid 3. ac milan 4. inter milan 5. man u +- man city (barely) 6. chelsea (thx fernando torres) 7. bayern munich Honestly, aside from these teams, soccer is damn boring to watch; skills are really only display when guys like messi, chritiano ronaldo, xavi are playing this is speaking as a person who has no local team (north america); i love soccer, but world cup is where the fun is at, maybe UEFA...but thats it. EPL is probably the most competitive domestic league. |

I watched ONLY the second half..in shock and awe...and glee since i follow Manchester Utd.
@ The Rox.. I cannot believe you think that the world cup is where the soccer fun is at...that's crazy...most of the teams are playing very conservatively and thus low scoring; it's mostly fun to watch for pride and to see players you would never see otherwise...compare that to the typical EPL match where there is way more action. And talent is fairly well spread among the teams IMO...and the same can be said for NBA (Celtics Lakers and co.) and MLB (Yankees etc.)...big money teams have lots of good players. |

I agree ...EPL is way above other leagues in terms of speed and action worldwide. It's always been and always will be.
As a proof, most other non-Brit, European players who get transferred to one of EPL teams, have to go through special training and conditioning so they can keep up with the rest of players on the field. In the recent years, La Liga in Spain and Italian Premier League have come a lot closer to their level of play action but still are not quite there yet on a league wide level IMHO. |
