Ha ha! Gotcha! Jury duty (at least in PA) goes by if you have a driver's license and not if you're registered to vote!

And I don't think listing your ethnic background has anything to do with being politically correct or not. Yes I'm American, but I don't want to forget where my great-grandparents came from either...that's important to me. No hidden political agenda intended .

They keep trying to get my into jury duty (Cali sends letters/notices to everyone who has a licence, citizen or not)...everytime they send me the letter I get to happy check the "I am not a US citizen box"....

Please do keep in mind that e90post.com is not an Americans-only community. It IS international, and IMO that's what makes this community so great. We have members from all over the world, so we are not all freakin Americans here, even though the majority are. But still, you can't generalize the way you did

i think caucasian should be changed to european becuz it can be anyone from north africa, europe, or parts of asia. Caucasians derived from the Caucasus mountains, which are more Asian than european... my parents are from north india/modern day pakistan (punjab) but our family would be considered caucasian by scientific standards. sorry to point it out but i've seen this word misused a bunch of times.

Is "caucasian " european? I am born in Sweden, Europe and have lived here in 50 years and have never heard that before. Is that an american word for european?

We read about the Caucasus mountains at school and it was definatly a part of Sovjet (Russia now adays?) and not Europe.

Are there any british or other europeeans with english as therir mother toung that can give a europeean explanation to me?
