My other ride

2007 Ford E350 4x4. It's almost as much fun to drive as my car.

The same color was coincidence.

This is why I have it. It will go anywhere I can drive it. So far. It has great traction. Better than a pickup because of the weight distribution. Pick ups are too light in the rear.

Pretty sweet van. Did you "pimp" the interior?

The interior is very basic. I have a fold out bench seat, a gaucho, in the back. I put a sheet of carpeted plywood on the floor. Other than that, I have all the camping stuff underneath in the back. I don't like to drill holes and mount crap that gets outdated every six months, so all my goodies are portable, like a CB, navigation, etc. I ordered it as a cargo with windows. It never had seats or all the inside wall plastic coverings. The walls inside are really the only thing left to be done, but it's never been a priority. I haven't added much. I like it clean, light and flexible use wise. Good for my dogs too. Bonnie and Clyde.

I always imagined these things to be incredibly top heavy, especially when they're lifted. How is it to drive?

It isn't as top heavy a you might think. The front axle is a lot heavier than the stock 2wd so it holds it down a lot. I do donuts and power slides with no worries. NTSB tests show the center of gravity is only slightly higher with 4x4. BUT! if your wife doesn't like camping! She REALLY won't like going off road in this beast. Washboard roads bring a new meaning to the word "rattle". And if it goes side to side over bumps slow, it can slam you against the window hard. It's no baja van. I cruise it off road. They are very capable.

But your heart is pounding when you do crap like this video!

It is! They've been doing it longer than anyone else. Todd Quigley drives an Audi though!! Great family owned company. Excellent customer service.
