I guess the iSweep products are not included; it's only the AutoTecknic products. Sorry for the misinformation.

All good. I'll just go ahead and send you an invoice for the difference.

Kidding of course. I went ahead and bought them anyways and really looking forward to getting them on.

RGSports has 10% off iSweeps. I ordered F/R is2000s. Don’t even have a ‘25 allocation yet, lol.

And guess who programmed that transmission? An M engineer.
Drove around a bit at 30 mph today & my auto was in 3rd gear the entire time, and I have 8 gears to the manual's 6. So again, no point in cruising around in 5th gear at 30 mph in the manual

I think I'll go out and record some 60-0 & 100-0 stops with my Dragy and see what it says.

While we're on this talk, in what mode did you have your gearbox? When you posted your thread talking about your 29.5mpg you had it in Efficient. I know the gear changes happen sooner when in Efficient, as you showed your mileage.

Are you saying your car was running in 3rd gear at 30mph in Efficient as well? Or did you have in some other mode this time?
If you had it in another mode, would you please let me know what it does on a flat surface on the street, driving for a while at 30mph, while in Efficient (1 dash on the gearbox)? Thanks

I'm curious because I don't have an auto, and the only experience I've had with it was on track, and so I was always in high RPM. I only cruised around to get to the track itself, and noticed it shifted pretty quickly up, but didn't pay attention to what gear I was in at which speed. I notice it in my car because I drive it often, hence my comment.
The engine mode was efficient. My neighborhood is posted 25 mph, and the route I took was 30 mph for a couple miles. The car was in 3rd gear cruising at that speed. I noticed it shifted to 4th at about 35-36 mph and stayed there until about 45-47 mph then shifted to 5th.

Re: brake pads; I think the iSweep 1500 pads produce little to no dust and stop as well as stock, if nobody has mentioned that yet . I didn't take the car out for any dragy runs to check stopping distance. Maybe tomorrow.

The only "Efficient" mode I have is the engine setting. In this mode the transmission is in D1 - "automatic shifting, efficient shift points, comfortable shifting speed."

So the G80 thread on the iSweeps has pretty much unanimous agreement that the 2000s are the way to go to meet or beat stock bite/performance, which is why I ordered them. At least one of the guys had both the 1500s and 2000s and compared the 2.

Depends on what you're looking for. For street use the 1500s will have less dust and good bite; for track the 2000s are more fade-resistant. Here is the earlier posted comparison graphs: https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...2&postcount=83

2000s are not intended for track use. It's clearly stated in their marketing material.

I found that thread to be quite useful in determining that the 1500 would not satisfy if you're looking for an OEM brake feel. Even the 2000 appears to not be equivalent to OEM.

Not sure what you mean - if you look at the mfr's charts I linked above it appears the 1500s are superior to OEM in almost every regard.

Marketing. Lots of 1500 users saying they gave up some performance, but a lot of them say it was worth it for the lack of dust.
Personally, I don’t want to give up ANY performance whatsoever.

Well, I would assume those were instrumented tests as opposed to someone guessing at what they felt. But, it all comes down to your personal priorities. Pads are not inexpensive, but if you try some an don't like them it's not the end of the world.

That is a totally fair point, which is why there are so many posts in these threads on a topic that should be cut and dry. You just have to sort-of take the average of all the experiences.

No, it's not the end of the world, it's just time consuming.
