Their communication system is fucked up but every couple sorts out one that suits them.

In our family it's poisoning with food. When ever the hubby pisses me off, I buy fresh peas. Tons and tons of peas. He can't resist eating them and then he suffers horribly with his over active tummy while he processes them out. That keeps his one word answers less judgemental for up to a year again.

When ever I piss him off, I find yet an other of my extremely well worn clothes from a dumpster. He doesn't bother to hide his mild distain for my lack of giving a shit about holes in my favorite shirts or pants.

No couple is perfect, but the op's girlfriend is far from the horror show i am, and he probably is just one of these idiots we women keep around because he has a well functioning penis. If he evolves in to the level of oral skills, he might find the girlfriend willing to show some respect towards his freshly detailed vehicle.

Dude, he is 40. If a man at that age has not after being told repeatedly that I use his weakness as a weapon hasn't figured out they are not to be eaten by the kilos, I think he has bigger issues than a horrible wife. Besides, I find the frozen peas sold in stores inferior, so when ever i find the right kind, I peal them and freeze them for the kids.
