I would bet quite a lot that Max and Lewis made it through that corner, Max would have pushed lewis off on the outside and not left him enough room on the exit.

HAM had the corner. Max lost control during his lunge, hit the sausage curbs and launched into HAM almost killing him. HAMs helmet hit by wheel. Unbelievable.

Maxi choose to cause a collision vs cutting it like lewis did on lap 1. Maxi left no room but that is predictable since those corners don't have any room to leave.

Probably 50/50 there, but hammy seems to be unhinged with the actions after the pileup. Crazy to think he decided to attempt to drop a car (with the driver) then back up onto a hot track. Dude appears to be losing his mind with unnecessary risk. Reckless behavior today from the 7 time champion.

Absolutely no one should be surprised they collided. To be 5 points apart, anytime they are taking the same corner there’ll be zero give on either side and they’ll risk taking themself, the other or both out to not come out of that corner as the second car. Normal -even expected- racing incident in my mind if you consider the circumstances.

Happy for Danny as he’s a very likable driver/person but I’m sad they pulled another 24 points on my red team. I’m waiting for them to finally install the updated PU and the rumored extra 20 horses, hopefully in Russia where overtaking is easier.

Excellent result for McLaren, although I could have done without seeing Danny Ric doing a 'shoey'

As I posted earlier it was Max's race to lose...& that's just what he did
Lewis was very lucky not to have been seriously injured or killed, Max's Red Bull did indeed have wings.

Overall I thought this was a very enjoyable race.
It won't be to Russia with Love for Lewis & Max

What choice(s) might that/those have been?

There is a bail-out area to use, as HAM did earlier in the race, if you don't have racing room. Max made a deliberate choice to not use that space. Completely on Max.

I'm torn. I'd like to see Ferrari finish third but fourth would give us more 2022 development time. Think I'd rather take the pain now for better chances next year.
