From the colors that have been confirmed i would probably choose between Zandvoort Blue or Toronto Red.If i was going to order an individual color it would be either Laguna Seca Blue or Yas Marina Blue. For some reason both of these colors are not available right now through individual.

How do you know what colors are currently offered through individual?

Edit: is there a website that has these colors available? Is it this..https://visualizer.bmw-individual.co...=en&dc=1-1#top

That is one that really caught my eye as well. AKA Mexico Blue, it is a really nice Porche color that will make the G87 pop!

Yes that is the website for the individual colors.I know that the two colors i listed are not available right now because there have been some guys on the G80 forum that have tried to order them for the M3 and have been denied.

When ordering a car, how does one order individual color? On BMW's website there is no individual color option. They only show 7 or 8 different colors (for the M3 or M4)? Are there more options available when you actual order a custom car?

You have to order it through your dealer. They call BMW and see if it will be approved.I’m not sure exactly how it works in the US but in Canada there is a specific person at BMW Canada in Toronto that the CA calls to confirm if a color is available.

I've filled out a few requests now. Pretty simple procedure. There's an official form that's sent over to BMW Individual with the color and production number. BMW then approves/denies your submission.

For the amount spent, I am unimpressed. Never again, at least not via the shop used.

All three blues look great! I have a BMW Individual blue selected and have for well over a year. Given that I am allocation number one and individual paint will not be available right off the bat that puts me in a bind. I really do not want one of the standard colors, but I also do not want to give up my spot in order to acquire individual paint.
I've found myself in the same boat. I've convinced myself I want individual and have my doubts it'll be available at launch. Honestly I've waited this long, if it's just another few months then ill wait. Though for the 50th anniversary you'd think they'd want to push the option more.

Going to do some digging this upcoming week.

That is a nice blue.

For interior, you have to go Black, Silverstone, or Ivory, right?

SLP plant does not currently do Individual colours for the ECE G20 so I assume the G42 is no different. I've not seen any Individual G42s either.

BMW has traditionally allowed individual colors on M cars, and only M cars. There is a form that the dealer submits, and BMW has to approve. I got a San Marino Blue M3 (in 2015, prior to the M3 Competition) using this process.

The exception was the M2, because the Leipzig plant's paint booth wasn't set up for it. I was told this by the managers.

The SLP plant is fully capable so it could (and likely will) do colors for the M2.

Only BMW knows for sure.

Since it's their last ICE M car, it would make sense for them to create as many special and unique versions as possible.

HEY BMW .... are you listening?

Correct. I contacted BMW Individual last week asking about the US market 3 series and they confirmed at this time the SLP plant does not offer individual paint. That of course doesn't mean they won't. I can't imagine it's too arduous of a task. Just send a couple of paint cans over from Germany.

Give us the option BMW!!

Individual colours have been available for non-M models for many decades now.

I simply said they're currently not offering Individual colours for any vehicles built that I know of (ECE) at that plant. Not they'll never do them.

Leipzig does Individual colours now, officially. But they've also done them in the past for the E82 M so BMW AG/M are able to do almost anything if you give them enough money and lick their arse, hence why Fuchs got his AY F87 all prettied up by M GmbH.

It took them many years to set up the processes at Spartanburg... Wouldn't hold my breath, but maybe Zipse will manage it better this time round.

I'd do Le Mans or Avus.

Fuchs reportedly paid $25k, and that was a one off. It was not part of an individual paint program.

And yes, Leipzig now can do Individual paints, since the expansion and upgrades in equipment. But they did not offer it for the F87.
