Spoke to GENIUS. Mine was taken off the vessel and delivered to the VPC in Baltimore today. The agent is saying that the car is estimated to leave the VPC on 7/20, However, "the part" is not yet available. Still no idea what exactly is being replaced / fixed.

You really need to be conversing with your CA for most up to date and accurate information, not the genius line.

If your CA is unable to provide any info, go to the sales manager, distribution manager or operations manager. Bottom line, your CA has access to more up to date info than the website or the genius line. Whether your CA doesn't know how (somewhat unlikely) or just lazy, they, at the dealership, needs to work for you and do their job.

Well, consider yourselves lucky BMW is fixing whatever is wrong with the strut tower.

Porsche opted to simply look the other way and blame driver error for their strut tower issues...

I'd say its pursuit is the core reason for getting a Porsche in the first place.

Unfortunately, VAG has their hands in everything at Porsche.

My CA let me know the recall has been fixed on my car and is just waiting on a truck to get assigned and deliver it to the dealer.

1 long month

It hasn’t been that bad really. I was expecting it here about 2 weeks ago. I told my CA over a year ago I wanted on the list so a couple extra weeks isn’t too bad.

Actually yes. While it was there I was able to get the mp has springs installed. I didn’t know that was an option and my CA was able to call the port and get them added. Thanks to this forum for the info.

Congrats. Did your CA happen to mention what exactly was done to remediate the problem? So far all I have heard or read is the tower strut front left.
