Picked up my car last night and the BMW genius showed me the entire infotainment. I did not receive a digital key

Thank you. I got caught up in another thread talking about the digital key being recalled so assumed that might be the issue. It's a bummer that 6 speed MT cars wouldn't have that option. And more of a bummer since there probably isn't a good explanation as to why.

Lucky you are getting rain. The roads here are salty and have been constantly wet from drizzle and foggy conditions. Hopefully I can run it through a wash in the next day or two if the roads dry out.

Yeah, why I am not in a rush to go get it. the car will be sitting anyway until end of March or when all the salt seems to be washed away. So I probably won’t break it in until at least April. How are you going to wash it? Self or car wash?

I will do self wash when it's warm enough outside. There are a couple touchless washes near me that I will use but I have to go scope them out to see if they have any underbody spray.

I was super OCD with my last car and I barely went through a tank of gas during the winter months always trying to avoid any road salt. I will probably revert back to that OCD approach once I get through the break in period. I really want to get that service done and be ready to rip on the thing.

Yeah, there is a blacck one behind it, no buckets and was told someone is picking that one up today. Supposedly was one that somebody backed out of because they moved. Dealer told me that is the first one they got with buckets..

When did you place the order for your car? I was told to not expect my car till close to the end of the year because i want the buckets on mine. I ordered when they were still on the configurator back in November but they told me the buckets were taken off my build due to the stop order.

Dealership told BMW to not build my car until the buckets are available again but (or chances are i'll just be getting a new allocation when the buckets are available) but because of that, i'll not get my car anytime soon.

I might be the last one to get my car in this group. My dealer got me this car through a dealer trade while it was still on boat yet it still got delivered to NJ port. My dealers cars typically come from Baltimore port but mentioned they still sometimes get trucks from NJ. My car hit port 1/12 and was released to carrier 2 days ago. Come to find out it was getting transported to Baltimore to then try and get another truck to Pittsburgh. Will keep updated on how much longer it sits there 😤

Toronto Red really pops in the different lighting. There was also a manual ZB inside, which also looked really nice.

Hoping for some favorable weather this weekend!
