US M2 Allocations

Also west coast here. My build day was 8/28 (Monday), and was in final assembly by end of day. Now I’m stuck in final assembly.

I have carbon roof and trim. Not the carbon seats.

Looks like there are actually a decent amount of west coasters getting built right now

mine is going crazy fast. I sort of hope it gets held up. I want to take delivery in December but it's looking like October at this rate.

Production date was 8/29 and it's already in final assembly. I hear the shipping issues are mostly for east coast bound cars so maybe I'll get it even earlier!

West Coast here as well. Went into production on 8/11. Now stuck in “Assembly In Progress” since 8/25. No further updates from CA as well. Very frustrating

I’ve been in final assembly since last week but it’s status 160 which is supposedly “released to sales”. My CA said they were having no delays with M2s so west coast does seem faster

A lot of us were in the same boat, then we sit in final assembly for a month, then ready for transport for another month. I hope you west coast folk have better luck but I don't think anyone on these forums have had a car get shipped for nearly a month.

My CA told me they delivered a few M2s last and this week so take that for what its worth. Can't find any info on west coast ships

Does anyone know what the green circles mean? Does it mean 153-155 was complete on 8/25? MyBMW shows I am at “Assembly in progress”. Thx

Well I received disappointing news today…

I order my m2 last week as my dealer had an available allocation.

It was scheduled for production 10/23/2023.

When my SA finalized the order with my options including the carbon pack it pushed the build date to January of 2024…

They offered to refund the deposit but I’m holding on.

Purchased a A91 Supra to fill the gap.

It was hard , local dealers are asking 15k over. What a joke.

I found a used 2022 with 5k miles in black.

Jumped on it. Paper work should arrive fed ex tomorrow.

Then car by end of next week.

I prematurely sold my r8 thinking I’d have the m2 by November…

Looks like my car also went into Scheduled for Production today. When I saw the previous two posts about others moving to status 112, I checked my status and it was still in 111 Order Received, but it finally progressed hours later.

Good deal. Then about 2 weeks ahead of your production week it should enter the production queue where it will chill for a bit and progress again around the production date.

I’m going to try to upgrade to an R8 in 3-4 years from the M2

Won’t show until you go status 150 which is ~2 weeks before your build week. Genius or CA can tell you the currently scheduled build week

I own a built GTR, the stock r8 was boring in comparison.

It was a fun daily driver, until I received a great offer from a friend.

Weird times we live in when someone can put 10k miles on a car for free. (not taking into account interest and taxes)

How can you get that view? I tried the Chrome way and the F12 and no luck.
