Does the flash show on the vehicle graphic in the digital display? Normal brake, indicator and headlights do.

That was a great question. The flash does not show on the vehicle graphic.

Got this 12v adapter today that fits in the port but still allows the cover to close. Probably still need a 90 degree usb-c to close with the cable plugged in.

As an addendum to this, with a right angle usb c adapter the cover can close without unplugging the cable. A bit of a hassle to figure out but a good solution that looks fairly nice all said and done.
