I use it too, but I can't watch that camera in hand BS. Something like this I want to do to the Theatre with my huge tub of popcorn and milkdudes and sink into that huge room and melt into the movie. I still like movies like this in the theathre.

I always wait a few weeks and then go on a wed-thur night. When I went to see Shang-Chi - I had the ENTIRE theater to myself! Literally the only one in there. I love that. One of the perks of small towns - no assclowns on phones ruining it for you.

I can usually find quality streams.

Going to watch a movie tonight. Choice between "Old" and "The Protege." Based on M. Night Shyamalan's track record, I'm choosing The Protege. Besides, it has better actors and Maggie Q is a delicious little babe, and was a good fighter in Live Free or Die Hard.

Will post what I think of the movie when I finish it.

My wife wanted to watch the original Dune last night, she'd seen it in theatres when it was first released and she read the book. I enjoy the movies but that thing was gawd awful. The things we do for love.

Agreed. I like the storyline but the movie is difficult to watch. I feel like the effects were pretty poor even for the time. Some of those old movies I can kind of get my head to be okay with, like something as old as Dragonslayer. but Dune came after Star Wars, so I felt like it should at least be as good as it. LOL

It is not.

The special effects were terrible, and yes even for the time, hell Star Wars was way better and came out earlier. But the acting, damn and then there was all the voices in their heads talking.....

This might be better, I just hope she doesn't make me watch it too soon.

I'm hoping I can make it about 2 weeks without anyone spoiling anything for me before I can go see the new one. Most people I know understand how pissed I get when I hear/see things too early.

Never understood that. I have a buddy who will watch any and all trailers he can about a movie he is excited about - then he has seen 30% of it and 100% of the good parts before he even goes.

I watch trailers to help me decide if I want to watch a movie or not. Different strokes I guess.

Protege was FANTASTIC.
I've had old and haven't bothered to watch it based on extremely poor reviews.

I read those reviews too, partially what I made my decision on.

We watched Dune on Friday on HBOMax. Really enjoyed it, but my wife found it pretty hard to follow for the 1st 30 min.

I'd never even heard of the Dune novels until seeing the 1st trailer months ago, and I'm a pretty big fantasy book nerd. I'll have to give the books a go

I have recently watched a few of the "Ip Man" movies. They were quite good and I enjoyed the choreographed fight scenes. I saw 1, 2 and 4. I skipped 3 for now which is the one Mike Tyson made an appearance, lol. I guess I didn't want to wait because I knew the last one (4) would have appearances by Bruce Lee in the storyline.

I liked "IP Man 4" because of the appearance by Bruce Lee (actor portraying him) but wished there were more fight scenes with him in it.

Having said that, the main actor/character Donnie Yen/Ip Man is excellent throughout the series. He's obviously an accomplished martial artist.
