Feel bad for you, caliper color will indeed be a deal breaker for me, though i did see a lot of the people chose Thunder night metallic with blue caliper, it looked nice tbh but it gives completely different vibe with the red caliper combo.

Gotta say, following this thread has made me feel a lot better about my own struggle waiting! Some of you guys have given new meaning to the word "Anticipation"! Your creativity in digging for info is mind-blowing! I had never considered watching the VeraCruz port for transport ship names, calculating trip times (based on avg knots/distance, I assume) + layovers, tugboats, dealership distances, trucking companies...WOW!!

I have a mere high school diploma in "car-order waiting", while many of you have Doctorates!

Thanks, agreed...I mean I'm not going to lose sleep about it, but...(ok stop reading now if you don't want a story lol).....this is my first new car, never thought growing up I'd ever be able to afford it. I've made more of myself than I thought I ever would, this was my first HUGE purchase and it's not exact....I don't know if people can relate but....that's where I am anyways. I know...first world problems 100% gross to complain about but.....

Not at all. You worked hard for your money, as did I. If I ordered my car and the dealer fucked up, they'd be paying to have them painted whatever color I wanted. It's not like you can just order again because of the changes between the 22MY and 23MY.

Sorry to hear, I’ve also have had a frustrating time with my ca .I wanted to change to red calipers and change interior color from black vernasca with blue stitching to cognac perforated and drop the HK Radio.My ca kept telling me she wasn’t able to change it ,this went on for a couple of weeks and the car was still at “scheduled for production”. She also made a comment about Red calipers on a purple car with cognac interior,“it would look like a clown car” WTF ?
I reached out to BMW Genius over it and they suggested dealing with the Sales manager.I tried to get a hold of him and he was on vacation,by that time the build status changed to “Production begins” too late to make any changes.

In other news, Glovis Spirit has departed from Mobile. It looks like it's headed to Freeport (TX?), then hopefully it comes up to NY.

I saw that as well. I was upset seeing it go the wrong direction, but I guess it's all part of the plan. I'm just hoping it ends up in NJ on the 18th like I was told.

Harvest Leader unloaded today in Cali. They left Mexico port July 4th. My CA called me today to tell me it is off the boat.

I was hoping they'd just order a set of the red calipers (that I ordered) and replace them at the dealership since it was them who messed up. Seems like a pretty easy solution.

I could be wrong but that's not what Im showing on Marine Traffic. It left origin port but sat for the last few days waiting outside Manzanillo and finally docked this morning. 9:45pm PT tonight it left and will arrive in Hueneme on July 13 6am.

You're right. That would be even easier and also more appropriate since it is a new car after all. If you should not get any further, I would contact BMW directly if I were you and disclose the facts. The saleswoman lied to you and she represents the manufacturer in her capacity.

The port is about 5 hours from my dealership so I'm hoping once it hits a carrier I'll see it later that day! For some reason this wait feels longer than waiting for the other steps in the process lol

It took 4 days from the Brunswick port to my dealership. Hopefully y'all will get your cars soon!

Oh man, I'm loving every minute with it! It's so hard not to mash the pedal to ground😆 1200 miles can't come soon enough. Be patient...It'll will definitely be worth the wait.
