Finally just changed to in transit (to
Dealer) on my garage. Baltimore to Durham NC via Glovis Sunrise. Seems like a long time compared to others but glad it’s finally moving.

Bimmerguy618 check yours.

Ah man I'm still showing at the port Hopefully I'll change very soon, considering lots of people are moving to in transit now. Happy for you though!

I would think everyone is working today - Black Friday car sales, right! That was my worry when they came in at this time that dealers would prioritize sales instead of salespeople tied up with deliveries. If you’re close can you drive down? Or call the main number. I text my CA which works well.

He's usually super snappy getting back to me. I called main number and confirmed he's working today. It's probably something like you suggest. Less priority on a for sure sale when there's traffic in the store. I live 45 mins away and have 2 toddlers, so the trip wouldn't go super well if I can't come back with the car today lol

My pickup now scheduled for this Tuesday in Alexandria, VA.!

Question: weather forecast currently calls for sub-freezing temp overnight Monday and high of maybe 42 on Tuesday.

Is it ok to drive on the Michelin summer tires that come on the M2 on Tuesday given these temps? I will be heading south after the pickup. And I've requested that my car be kept indoors on Monday night but who knows if the dealer will do that.
Thanks

Apparently mine just got unloaded at the dealership. They sent me these two pics. Want to clear my schedule so badly but the reality is I won’t be able to do anything about it until Monday at the soonest.

I'm still at the port dangit!

I'm also concerned with the temperature outlook. In Iowa, the temps between now and next Tuesday are low 30s for highs, high teens for lows. Wednesday, the highs are back up in the 40s. Additionally, we're now expected to get 1-3 inches of snow Saturday night. I was really hoping to take delivery before the first snow, which comes with the first round of salt and sand. Having an RFT of 9/29, I never thought this situation would come up.

From Tirerack's site for the Pilot Sport 4S:
"Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced."

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/michelin-pilot-sport-4s

I'm not sure if anyone has real-world experience with these tires getting damaged by driving at temps below 20F.

I assume your car’s in Baltimore? I’m right there at the port with you. Let’s hope our cars both leave by tomorrow morning.

Just heard back. They have the car but didn't do anything with it today. Won't get to it until Monday, so perhaps a Tuesday pickup. BMW really knows how to kill the excitement at every turn

I got delivered today! Now I need to remember how to drive stick

I did end up getting the front plate installed. For those of you in NY, the state will start issuing add-on tickets to the speed camera tickets. So, if you have no front plate (or a mount that doesn’t conform to NYSDOT rules) and get a speed camera ticket, you’ll get both tickets.

Took delivery of my ZB M2 today.

I want to thank the organizers and posters for all the updates in this thread. I placed my order back in April and it’s finally here.! Glad I stuck with the ZB color. Got many compliments at the dealer ship from random customers. Looks amazing in person, photos does the car no justice imo.

I’ll update with pictures once I get to a PC. Don’t know how from phone.

Yes. Only the older MPSS had the issues with cracking if rolled below freezing.

It takes less than a mile for them to warm up and give good traction in the dry.

Just be careful if wet and obviously don’t drive with any frozen precipt.
