Changed to in transit! Car should arrive Monday night or Tuesday. Of course, it’s going to be blistering cold Tuesday, so picking up on Wednesday. It’s getting real!

So happy to see a lot of you receiving your cars. Mine is a day or 2 away from arriving at the port and even though I’m a few weeks past you all, my excitement has been maintained in this thread. Congrats everyone!

So, here is an update on mine... Pick up on Tuesday! I could have had them rush it out, but I'm fine waiting a few more days.

Made a little "build" thread (in signature now) after taking some pictures earlier today. this week the skid plate and mud flaps will go on, hopefully the CF bits ship soon so I can put them on before the PPF appt.
Can't wait to see more cars delivered soon!

Are you installing the skid plate yourself? Wondering if it’s easy on jack stands.

I also happen to have a quick jack but before I had that I did all this stuff with a jack and jackstands.

Looks like another uneventful day with my car still allegedly in transit. Must be traversing up and across the state or just casually taking their time getting up here from the port. I showed my wife you all's pictures that you posted of your cars and told her that these were at ports that were unloaded days after my car was unloaded and she was in shock as to why mine has not been delivered. Oh the joys of logistics...filled with so much uncertainty. Seems like its similar to how our UPS delivers go. We live next door to the distribution depot and we are the last delivery of the day.

Bimmerguy618 I am so surprised we aren’t on the same truck being in NC and Hendrick shop. If it’s any consolation I was in transit on Friday but it still isn’t at the dealer. It’s only 5 hours from port. The dealer thinks it may be there on Monday. It will happen soon and then this wait will become irrelevant.

Same. Still "At the port"
I'm optimistic that tomorrow will likely be the day it updates, even though it was supposed to leave VPC on Sat and be at the dealer today. I have to admit, this waiting process, lack of information from all parties other than this thread, and experiencing the logistical nightmare that we get dragged through, has dampened my enthusiasm quite a bit. Honestly, it has irreparably damaged my impression of BMW. Hopefully taking delivery will change things. Ironically, if they had just stuck with, "you'll get it in 9-12 months" and didn't expose me to the process, I would have been pleasantly surprised it showed up "early." |
