Hi guys, how long does it take after production to transport car to the port? My car was built on the 19th

You need your status to update to Ready for Transport first. That can be a day or a week+.

Usually it never updates to At the Port before it leaves Mexico (even though it should). After the vessel sets sail, the status will change to At the Port and then later that day to In Transit. It may happen 1-3 days after the ship left the port of departure.

Typically it takes a few days after Ready for Transport to get to a port. It can end up at either Veracruz or Altamira. If you call BMW genius or your CA, they may tell you it's in transit to a port until it's actually on a ship. They told me that for 5 weeks in a row, but I was in Veracruz that entire time.

You're really at the mercy of a ship. Best case scenario is you're on a ship a week after RFT. Worst case scenario is 6-8 weeks right now.

Edit: JUST WANTED TO THROW THIS OUT THERE! My car comes with iDrive 8.5. For anyone else that was wondering.

Wanted to ask all of those who have just gotten your cars, have you noticed if you have iDrive8 or 8.5? I am hoping to be on 8.5 for me. We'll at least get that to make up for the lack of climate controls for the back seats.

Status updated this morning to At the dealership. One long battle down another possibly to go. Hopefully things will go smoothly today.

@baron95 this probably means you should be seeing an update today or tomorrow as well. My car got delivered to the dealer on Saturday.

My status still says at port, I’ll call the Genius to see if at least my HAS work order is done.

Mine finally flipped to 'In transit'. Hopefully Wed or Thurs pickup. I'm sure my dealer wants it to be a November delivery

My CA told me there’s some trucking delays but he thinks the car will be there by Wednesday, so he tentatively set up an appointment with me for 2:00 on Thursday. Fingers crossed.

In the process of getting it. It's even more amazing than I thought. I had bought blind and went away from going with white like I always do. I am so happy I did.

I'm just so mesmerized. It's just so amazing.

I may be tracking to be the last one delivered from the Sunrise

Still at NJ VPC, "Repair" Work Order (which I assume is for the HAS install) started but not completed, no carrier assigned or tentative date.

Spoke to dealer manager and he tells me that BMW NA assures him car will get to dealership by Thursday - but seems like a long shot.
