I wish they would stop moving anything other than my car onto a boat. the fact that people are getting production dates for 24s, when I put a deposit down in June of 2022 and its not moving at all is getting super annoying. still at final assembly I dont know why I even check anymore.

I assume you are checking with your CA, and not relying on the web tracker?

Your car could be on a ship, sailing the open seas to nowhere (changing itineraries and timelines and the captain of the ship changes his underwear) arriving at random ports where your car could be offloaded only to have it put on a carrier and drive ~700 miles to get to your proper port.

I've mentioned in here before - I'm constantly checking with her, and based on what I see you guys post, I'd be comfortable assuming shes never run a VIR. I've only learned about it here. The info I get is vague. "It'll be here soon!" "It'll be here early august." "It'll be here by month end!" I'm fairly certain it's still in a lot in a third world country.

I'll be at the dealer tomorrow for the M Town Tour event and I'll have someone else run it in front of me. BMW Genius last told me a couple days ago it's not been assigned a vessel yet, thats all I have to go off of.

Mine went to final assembly on 7-15 and has been there since.

For instance, "my port" is Brunswick, so it will be offloaded at Baltimore and then "trucked" to Brunswick where the port installed items will be done.

It takes 3 emails and a phone call to ever get in touch with my CA. I would go over their head. I just called the dealership today to ask questions and just talked to the first sales rep that answered. She was able to locate my information and answer my questions.

Glovis Sirius has been quite the shit show. It makes no sense that your car is taking an east coast tour. I never actually knew what ship I was on so I called today just to find out if I happened to be on RCC Tianjin that basically went straight from Mexico to Baltimore. No such luck, but at least the glovis is almost to Baltimore.

The reason I ask is that a guy on a G87 Facebook group mentioned that he was week 41 and it’s now been moved up to about week 35.

I’ve heard of people being moved up or back one or two weeks, or maybe put off for many weeks due to supply shortages, but I’ve never heard of someone being moved up six weeks.
I went from Week 38 to Week 36. No Carbon here.

Yup, and for whatever reason (my guess is the port in Philly is also crowded), the Glovis now seems to be moving at a snail's pace. Not due into Phill until August 13.

Philadelphia port is closed for receiving until Monday so that's why it's slow rolling

I believe it should be in Baltimore exactly a day after it docks in Philadelphia

Where does it state the Glovis is a Sallaum line ship?

You may be right but all current schedules point to and state otherwise. Plus, that means the ship will dilly dally offshore for 3 days? It would also means its destination to Baltimore and all future ports would be off/delayed.

So builds of all sorts are running ahead of schedule!

Interesting info guys. Thanks very much for responding.

I hope that my week 42 Build gets moved up.

Traded my 2022 M235i for a 2024 M2

My order is placed, production in week 32,sheet claims week 44 delivery so not bad I guess. I live in Europe for work but it will be a U.S. spec car. Got a great deal so I'm very happy. Wife wants to trade explorer ST for a X3M40 so we might be doing that soon too.

Went black, Auto, with all option except carbon exterior roof and seats. Just not a huge exterior carbon fan myself. I won't be tracking it either. I did get the interior carbon trim though, as it looks great.

Excited to get out of the four door game. I'm surfing the web as usual but I seem to only find front splitters and spoilers in carbon, any non carbon options out there?

Auto ID has a couple spoilers in gloss black.

Did the M Town Tour at the dealer and drove an m3 comp and x///m.

Asked for update on my car- still sitting in third world country, not on a boat. They still say it’ll be at the dealer by the end of this month. They’re wrong, I’m annoyed.

Mexico does not fit the definition of a third world country.

By definition, the way the economy is developing, and the % of population in poverty- yes, it is, actually.

Regardless, this car is confirmed still sitting there over a month, not on a boat.

I'm curious about this myself. I've been told the wait is from 6 months to a year. Then I was told it could be as little as 3/4 months? A year is just way too long for me personally. I'm curious if I'm being given false information to make a sale.

So, when you take the wait for the allocation out of the equation what is the time-frame of placing the order to delivery. Approximately. Without the full carbon package. Maybe a carbon interior.

Thanks.
