Ooh. You mean the perpetual, or the NA limited edition non perpetual? The 1136 QP movement in that Perpetual Chrono is amazing. I would have the boutique open it for pictures! You, sir, have excellent (and expensive) tastes.

Me too. Tag Heuer F1. Used to wear it everyday then chipped crystal and spent $750 getting it redone by tag. Time is less important to me now so it goes out rarely. I also work with my hands and watches don't really belong in my job. Going out is when the F1 is on.

Wearing a great watch is like driving an M. You don't drive an M just for transportation and you don't wear a great watch just to tell time. Those are by-products of the real reasons. They are about pinnacles of achievement, excellence in engineering, embodiments of human ingenuity, etc... (At least to some). For some, they are simply status symbols. Everyone has their own definition of value.

^thanks, it is a watch that I have owned going on for 10 years now-very much a car guys watch. The gauge is for the power reserve however it is a 46hr reserve. The gauge is supposed to represent the cars that participate in the Mille miglia

Nice. Like the Patek. I love the 5130 in the book behind it. Got my eye on the Platinum version with the dark center of the dial. Or, if a guy can dream, the 5170... yeah. Alas, I do not own one yet though... yet...
