If that TRE spoiler was available painted to match, I'd buy in a second.

I setup an appt for next week to get some PPF and window tint done on the car. I'm not sure what window tint options I will go with. For PPF I will do the full front, mirror caps, inside door edges, and rockers.
Now that I'm past break in and have been hammering on the car I admit I am nowhere near adjusted to having a 6 speed manual car. Still used to the 8 speed auto from the previous car. Just need more reps to understand when the shift points are, both by speed/revs and by engine sound. I'm also not used to the power yet so I find myself with my eyes glued to the road in front of me and not as attentive to the tachometer.

Yay
Well after going through a traumatic 3 weeks of not having my car. (Referring to thread: https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2080041)
I finally got a new setup for the car. Running 20”s all around |

Well, I found out a big scratch on my ceramic tints! On the passenger side, right by the rear view side mirror. Of course, now I see that every time I use the mirror. I don't know how it happened! It’s on the inside. Thinking about peeling them off and installing new and darker ones but not knowing how it happened is a concern.

No but for real- I’m excited for you. This is what it means to drive manual. You truly LEARN the car. No knock against autos, but I think most everyone agrees that engagement to the beast like this can only be felt through the milliseconds between shifts. Feeling the disengagement and re-engagement of the transmission as you find that harmony between your left foot and right hand. Every drive is unique and different. Hell, sometimes I F up and slip the clutch too much or drop it too early and catch myself laughing my ass off heading to the market. Enjoy. This car may be one of the last soldiers standing in the manual category. You can always replace a clutch, but you can never replace the experience. As for the shift points. I love that 4k mark in sport +. I find a lot of harmony between 4-4.5k range (the car loves to shift in that range when “chillin” and not “racing”) from 1-3 and then drop it down to 3-3.5kish if I’m just cruising through gears in a 45-55mph area. I also usually cruise around 3k rpm as I hate the lugging engine feeling even In sport+ if I’m below that. |

Make sure they get the front fascia right around the grilles. I have seen some very poor work posted here & people paid a lot of $. Any seams should meet perfectly.

Will be sure to point that out. The shop owner did ask that I plan to do a walk around with my car with him to sort out all the details. Aside from the front fascia are there other areas I should highlight as being tedious/unique? I don't know if this shop has done any G87's yet.

Does your car ever feel laggy or hesitant when you put the pedal down? I notice it most in 3rd and 4th when I floor it around 4K rpm's. I know that is not the ideal rpm range for those gears to be floored but just toying around with different revs and throttle positions and these ones feel wonky. It's like the car doesn't quite know what to do for a brief moment and then it starts to scream towards redline.

That slight lag you feel is probably your psi not built up efficiently from using the whole power band from the beginning of the gear to the end and on to the next rather than just flooring it when you’re already half way through 4th. It seems from what you’re describing is youre just not built up efficiently so the car takes a second to spool. I’d say better to drop a gear and take off if you want to punch back into your seat. |

Started the process of ceramic coating the wheels and adding wheel spacers with my little helper.

The Macht Schnell 12/12. I didn't want to go very aggressive up front as I'm not going to put black stone guards on a white car. I'll just PPF the rockers instead.

Sweet. I'd love to see the result in person as I'm mulling over spacers and considering anything from 12mm to 18mm.

Took the nice drive down to my dealer for the summer wheel change today. Beautiful 13C and dry. Forecast for next 10 days is more of the same and I was not in a mood to keep using winter tires with these temps. 16C this weekend! Spring is arriving Fully cleaned front coolers and checked oil cooler on bottom - zero issues. Happy to have the Zunsport screens on! Nice driving, moderate to light traffic and enjoying the power of this M2. My dealer is a Classic BMW Restoration center and they always have some interesting BMW's in work there.
Full detail this weekend before the next trip to other locations. Ready for spring/summer fun driving Pics: -Sunny nice day -M2 ordered by a client - Every single option box was ticked. A gift for a family member. Looked really nice -Both my M2 and the new loaded M2 -Winter wheels -Summer wheels -E34 M5 with 193000 Kilometers, original -E34 ///M-Motor -A nice Isetta in for some brake work Last edited by DSTR; 02-29-2024 at 11:31 AM.. |

Unless you have some special floor jacks, you should only be using those to lift the car temporarily and then place it on stands. |

If it looks off I can always swap to a 15f. I am not going to lower it as I like the dune buggy look 😳
