do we know if SPY is going to be a no-cost option in the US like AW and AB? the german configurator seems to be charging for it (but i know it is no cost on the M3 here?)

The more I stare at that Voodoo / silver combo… the more I start thinking… ugh.

Yeah, no doubt it looks drop-dead gorgeous too. But for me, I’d only consider the frozen paints for the M5/M8 upper end of the segment, and even then with strong hesitation.

Agree...not a fan of the generic silver wheels. Looks like a cheap offering (and old school that is not back in fashion). If a set of Weld Wheels for drag racing, I can go with that but not an option for a MY25 BMW M car. |

I don't know anything about "individual colors" so forgive me if this is unnecessary info-
My g87 order just changed to received today so I called the dealer and asked about the purple. He said he couldn't see any details about price and they have to code it as alpine white and then change it to individual but he thought it would be 4500-5000 and 2 more months of waiting. He just said those 4 colors would be what the factory offers down there. I don't know which to pick between frozen grey and purple anybody get more solid info on price/details yet? Also is Alcantara on the wheel that bad? I don't wear any kind of skin products on my hands ever. |

That was definitely the impression I was getting and yes in the US. He didn't seem to know anything about the 4 "individual colors" before we spoke

Your dealer WILL need to submit a special paint request form to their regional rep with your production number and desired color, preferably sooner than later. Make sure you’re 100% decided on all the other details of your build, because after individual paint is equipped then the order can no longer be modified. As far as we know thus far, there is no explicit delay incurred by choosing an individual paint on the G87, but that could change as more time passes so I’d be prepared for a delay just in case. |

My CA reached out to BMW and they told him those colors shouldn’t add any lead time, so hopefully that turns out to be correct. |

correct me if I'm wrong but these arent really true "individual colors" in the custom 1 off sense of the term? maybe my CA is confused by this? I'm not sure why he was having trouble looking it up or having any details here.

Posting these Dakar Yellow renders I stole from google. I reallyyyy wish BMW gave us a pleasant yellow instead of SPY (which I find repulsive), especially as a $0 color! So close yet so far.

I wish BMW used this car to go back through its greatest hits. LSB, Techno Violet, Dakar… I’d do unquestionable things for an LSB M2.

My order is on hold in Alipne White until the regional Individual approver gets back from vacay. Maybe Friday the 5th. But most likely Monday the 8th.

Verifying Paint Price
Quote:
I'm new to the forum (official first post) so please forgive me if I missed this somewhere. I read through this thread because I was trying to find the price to choose Voodoo Blue. My dealer got an allocation this week and we configured my car, but he only had the base color options in his system so we chose Sapphire Black as a placeholder. His rep was telling him it would be $5000-$5500 for one of these colors, so I was hoping you could point me in the right direction to verify the $3000 price so I could show him. I did add the carbon roof, so I'm good there. Thank you for any assitance you can offer, and again I apologize if I missed this elsewhere. Peace. |
