GT3 RS 4.0 - the last of the truly great analogue cars. Bet Chris Harris is still kicking himself for selling his...

Saying that, the 2015 GT3 RS will be spectacular. If only they'd fit the old mechanical rack back in.

Possible. Or they may keep it N/A while they keep the 911 GT3 and GT3 RS N/A, for however long that may last.

Speaking of the GT3 RS, can we just go ahead and pencil in a limited run GT4 RS in a couple years too?
My dealer has started taking deposit for GT4RS for a bit more than a week now. They know it's coming.

back on topic, the GT4 may just be one of the last few great 6MT, N.A. engine sports cars. The near future will be hybrids, PDK (DSG/DCT) that go faster, handle just as well and electronic everything.

The GT4 is already too modern, with the electronic brakes and steering for some old school guys. The 997 GT3 RS is where it's at for the pinnacle of old school.
Not for me.

Make mine an F430 Grigio ferro with dark red interior, and stick shift. Fell in love with the F430 in a way that no Porsche can substitute, pun intended.
Don't agree there. It would take a 458 speciale to make me even start to consider one over anything with a Porsche GT badge. There is no substitute...at all. Especially when you consider a manual Ferrari. Might be worse than a Chevy 6 speed.

I drove a GTS in Vegas last year and loved it. I am 6'3" so I didn't fit in it too well, but it was fun fun fun. It just sticks and screams. GT4 looks like even more win.

Does sound nice. But not totally different from some modded N54/55 cars I have heard. It's just that nice straight 6 sound.

BMW should take note of this car for a future Z5. For now this Porsche is one car I actually am interested in. Hope they come out with a PDK version...I was a die hard manual until I bought a DCT now I don't want to go back!

The flat six sounds a lot different fm the straight 6; NA or FI. It's going to be difficult for BMW to replicate, esp since it will be FI engine.

Im not sure about in real life but that to me sounds a bit like a 1M with an Akra! The 1M sounds more high pitched on the upper RPM though.

I've had deposits down with a couple of different dealers since the car was announced last month, but news of the allocations are starting to trickle out this week and it ain't pretty. If you were not #1 or #2 at a high volume and/or Porsche Premier dealership, then you're SOL unless Porsche announces a second year of production. And even then, anything below #3 or #4 means you're SOL for a new 981.1 GT4 forever.

I'm #3 at one dealership and #5 at another. Not looking good...

Would've really considered the GT4 if it came with the PDK. Unlike almost everybody else out there/here I really like the performance of the dual clutch.

Sounds like an unrefined I6.. great to assault other drivers on the road, however quite annoying like a fly that buzzing around your head and won't go away.

Yeah, I just read US is getting 600 allocations. About 125 of those were taken by 918 owners. So that only leaves 475 allocations to go around. Will be tough to get one for sure.

Automobile review from Karcher. "Six Stars out of Five".

I'm in the #1 slot at a big dealership but they've been known to sell them to bigger fish.

Oh dip. Dealer called me today and said I'm looking good for a September delivery. He'll confirm later in the week.

Man, if this was just a cocktease, Imma murder someone.
