Simply tinting the clear section of the taillight is an improvement.

So the sketch of the M2 doesn't have a functional trunk? The taillights would have to be "cut" so the trunk lid would be able to open, which would negate the nice clean lines.
I'm not a huge fan of the lights below the number plate, but overall it's a nice sketch.

Just some M-performance add on sticker. You can see the M-perf carbon front splitter, the grills look to gloss carbon as well.

The style-line coming off the top portion of the front fender and into the door makes the door look as if it has been wrecked. My mind knows it's there to accentuate the flare, like in the rear, but it just doesn't work for me, visually. |

The front grille gives me some E89 vibes (definitely a good thing). The tail lights give me E90 chicklet tail light vibes (that's a bad thing).
Overall this is shaping up to be a great starting point for the next M2! |

But yes, I'll reserve judgement until it's right in front of me so I can see it properly. |

Moar leaks! The non M-sport looks pretty good. Now if only they'll give us a RWD 230i with 6MT option...

No. Neither with round tailpipes nor with a different shape hence signature of the taillights.

Yup, you're right...
The base model does look a lot better. Maybe I'll save $10k and play with a four banger for awhile. Or just hold on to my cash and see how weird the M2 gets.

I have heard rumours the 340 would be offered here in RWD too at some point, like in the US, but I've not seen any confirmation of that. So it's likely we'll get the M240 as Xdrive only too. I've also not seen anything that suggests 6MT either, but bearing in mind the bulk of the range - including most of the 1-series models - is almost exclusively 8AT, I'm not holding my breath. |
