You can code it to start in sport individual. Then set each parameter to comfort.

Has anyone that lost Auto Start/Stop with BimmerCode tried coding it off with xHP Flashtool, as that also provides the option?
There better be some new AMAZING feature that comes out on an update now for me to knowingly lose my Auto Start/Stop! |

What mode do you normally drive in? If comfort just set sport’s individual parameters to comfort. With car starting in sport’s individual via bimmercode.

I contacted Bimmercode yesterday and they sent me the following message:
Thank you for reaching out to us! We've indeed been notified by a number of users who have experienced a similar issue following BMW's latest firmware update. Coding this option does not have any effect on the latest BMW software due to changes imposed by BMW. We are working on a solution, but unfortunately we cannot promise a timeline yet. A workaround could be setting Sport Individual as your default driving mode and configuring it like Comfort mode or to your liking. But we could not test it ourselves yet. Thank you for your understanding and patience. -- Kind regards / Schöne Grüße Sven Straubinger - Lead Developer So it looks like we are out of luck unless and until Bimmercode can figure out a way around BMW's new "screw the owners" software! |

I have it coded to start in Sport Individual, with only steering and suspension set to Comfort (I think??). Are you saying this will automatically turn off Auto Start/Stop even w/o BimmerCode?

LOL ![]() Everything has been a "workaround" as far as the G42 is concerned. It's not even officially part of the selection of models. SG Software (BimmerCode) has definitely been taking its sweet time. The G42 has been out since late 2021, I believe. There's also the possibility of iDrive 8.5 or 9 around the corner which would complicate the situation even more. ![]() |

Exactly! Bimmercode auto stop/start feature coding isn’t currently working. So this a workaround until them. But the mode you want the car to start in IS. So as said before, programming the car to start in sport’s individual with comfort options selected. Is another way to get auto stop/start disabled in comfort mode.

Bimmercode no longer works to turn OFF the Auto Start/Stop. As a workaround, you can code your car to START up in Sport Individual, or any Sport setting using Bimmercode and this will prevent the Auto Start/Stop from being activated. If you just set the Sport setting manually, it will also prevent the Auto Start/Stop from being activated, but only until you shut off the car, then you would have to manually set it to a Sport setting again, so using Bimmercode keeps you from having to do this every time.

Redbeemer you can code it to start in sport individual and set your individual settings to all comfort. Not sure if you were aware of this during your old sock rage.

As a bonus, for me at least, your dash will also start in that sporty red theme instead of that boring brown theme. ![]() I wasn't able to code off A/S/S anyway even in the previous update. (iD8/Android/OBDlink LX) |

Is setting the startup mode to eco pro as simple as selecting that option or is there anything else I need to set?
I the below video it appears the guy selects "start in eco pro" but then also changes other variables manually. |
