According to his latest IG story, he is actually trying to buy the press car G87 that he has been driving. Him buying the G87 with his own money after dailying it for a long time is as high of a praise as it gets in my book…

It's also interesting how he talks about BMW normally giving some discount for the press car, but this time they said nope, pony up MSRP. I was wondering if journalists get any kind of special access to buying high demand cars. Not so much, apparently, but at least he doesn't have to wait.

Cannot wait for his full video review!

I’m curious how much that’ll fall off when more allocations come and especially when the LCI surfaces. Either way, my youngest will be driving it to my funeral.

I was curious to see if carfax showed my accident yet, it does, but it also shows this;

Not that I believe it, I just found it interesting what their algorithm thinks.

Yeah, absolutely NFW that you get 76K for a car with a major accident on record. Their algo needs some tweaking.

I encourage people to not pay more than MSRP and here's carfax saying it's worth more than MSRP with an accident.

Which isn't major, BTW.

Did you get the unlimited service for Carfax or just the one for your car? If it's the unlimited one, you can run mine and see what it says.

You don’t need to buy a report for your own car. Just add it to your account with the VIN and your plate. It’ll give you the Value and any records that have been added.

I could of bought a manual ( physical car) last week for £3k off RRP - the price actually changed to £4.4k off the next day - this car obviously sold - however I got £3k off mine and yes majority of dealers are wanting RRP - this will soon change once more cars become available. If your patient there’s always a deal to be had.
There always be scalpers trying to make £10k overs, I very much doubt these cars will sell, there’s plenty of build slots available in the UK 🇬🇧

CarFax is $hit! It has been for decades. There are multiple, easy ways to avoid blemishing a vehicle history. It is not rocket surgery and it is done far more often than not.

CarFax valuations are almost always too high by 10-20%.

From a BMW corporate perspective there is a lot more fat to be cut from RRP in the UK than in Canada. My similar build at RRP/MSRP was £50,000 equivalent in Canada including 5% GST/VAT we pay here in Alberta, so including the 15% additional VAT in the UK takes it to £57,500 on the road.
