Genius sent me an update email and said it is estimated to arrive at the Baltimore Vehicle Processing Center on July 17, 2022.

I think for AP dealer wash is okay. But if it was black or thundernight I would skip the wash/detail for sure. I plan on doing a coating myself which is why I told the dealer to skip the wash and detail.

It's not about the products, it's about the care that would go into it. I am going to request that they roll it off the truck and do not touch it, even leave the plastic on all parts. I will bring it home and give it a careful wash/detail.

I was going to do the same, have them leave the film, but they said they couldn't inspect anything under the film for damage, I would own that risk, so better to have the film removed then try and prove there was damage after I leave the lot.

Yes, they will likely induce swirl marks, they have no business touching paint. There is a reason detail shops exist, I wouldn't have the detail shop fix my engine for the same reason I won't have a dealer touch my paint.
