Mine says the same thing in the tracker as well but my CA just said it’s waiting to be picked up on a truck and will be here probably by the end of the week 🙏

No drama for me

Hi all

Have been enjoying the posts here for a few weeks. I told my dealer when I got rid of my last gen 2017 M2 that I wanted back on the list for the new one. Actually forgot I was on there.

Got a call in late June from the sales manager asking if I wanted the allocation. I was surprised it was for a ‘23 build. Ordered a ZB manual with carbon pack and some added port installed carbon goodies. So I guess I have experienced none of the supply issues related to carbon seats that I have seen posted. I’ve seen the dealer screen shot of the VIR [sp?] and confirmed it has the full carbon pack.

Car went into production mid July and showed as being in “ready for transport” purgatory on the tracking app since then. But got a call from the dealer last Friday saying the car was on the last ship that got to Galveston August 12.

Not trying to rub in what appears to be good fortune, but just letting you know it’s not a bumpy road riddled with angst and agony for all of us. May sound spoiled but my only beef is taking delivery of a ‘23 so late in the calendar year.

Hope you all get what you’re waiting for. Cheers.

How many of the folks who got the allocation on July 28th, when there was a massive drop in allocations, have actually gone from 111 (order accepted) to 112 (production scheduled)?

I'm still stuck on 111 (my dealer only put the order in on Sat the 29th), for ~3 weeks. Looking at the spreadsheet, folks on the previous batch of allocations in June moved to 112 very quickly.

Are the July 28th allocations the first for MY2024? Is that causing extra delays in scheduling for production?

Thanks - this is my first BMW custom order ever - so trying to understand what to expect.

Here in NJ, I am in the same boat. My dealer said they had one allocation left, so I placed my order on July 29 and they quoted me for a September/October delivery. The sheet my dealer printed out had the code 112, "Scheduled For Production" listed on it already. I put my production code in My Garage and it also said "Scheduled for Production." Then last week I contacted a Genius and they said my build week was Week 35 or the end of August/early September. Afterwards, I checked My Garage and saw my status changed to code 111 "Order Received." I asked my CA about it and she said that the production might have shifted a week and it should revert back to "Scheduled For Production" but as of today, it still hasn't.

I'm hoping my build week hasn't changed and will revert back to code 112 this or next week. Has this been typical for anyone else?

well. congrats on the order - im here to say, unfortunately, be patient lol. Most people aren't super happy with the timeline. If you're looking for logic/reason on whats going on - you're not going to find it haha. It blows - but theres some good info here to do your own research, which is going to be more info than anyone else (dealer/bmw genius) will give you.

Good luck! Whats the spec lookin like?

AW, AT, Carbon Pack, MP HAS, the rest of the options sans 5g. ( ordered early '22, allocation in mayish, build started and finished in june, hit the boat late july)

AW Gang rise up, the only real color to get your car in (unless you are a baller and get frozen)

Thanks! Yeah, just trying to be as patient as possible. Once it moves into Code 150, I'll be happier. Seems like it takes about 50-60 days after production starts to delivery, so I am expecting October at the earliest. However, the timelines I've seen all have moved from 111 to 112 within a week, so that's my only concern right now.

I built out a BGM/black interior with contrast stitching with the bicolor wheels and a 6spd manual. I added the lightning package, digital cockpit, parking assist, heated steering wheel, and wireless phone charging. I think I am going to be one of the few M2s out there that doesn't have the shadowline package. It's been really hard to find actual photos of the non-shadowline, but I think the chrome headlights and tailpipes will match the bicolor wheels nicely. Can't wait!

Except white is not a real color, it and black are achromatic, by definition.

23 BMW M2 (CARBON FIBER INTERIOR PKG ONLY)

Deposit Mar/25
Ordered Jun/29
Scheduled for Prod Jul/6
Production Begins Jul/10
Final Assembly Jul/21
Ready For Transport Aug/11

Who tf knows how long now. lol POE is BAL.

Good news is that both ports in Mexico have many ships anchored waiting to dock and load cars on to and take them to the US. It seems timelines are very different for a lot of folks. Not sure what causes this.

Hope things move along for you quickly.

Order pushed through last month, was slated for build yesterday. Called BMW and was told it was now a week 40 build. Seems like a lot of M2s just got pushed back a month.

Anyone else in my boat?

Also I have a slim slim slim hop I’ll be slid up for the production.

Side note, the lady tracking my car at bmw said that someone told her that the factory in Mexico went on a month long vacation this month and that pushed the cars back… that can’t be right can it?

So question... if my online tracker status passed 'at the port', and now is 'in transit', does that mean I've already landed at my destination port? Or is that initial status mean the port it left from.

Haven't check the tracker in a while not sure when it passed 'at the port'. Only tick left to go is 'at the dealership'
