I think my favourite measure of temp comes from some of our American friends, my kids have no idea what the temp was in F, only C. And then someone told them that 70F is like 70% hot, and 40F was like 40% cold etc.....

Perfect. Canada went to the metric system in the 70's if I recall. Maybe it was the right thing to do but it has been a mess with the US right next door. I was luck I guess because when I was in school the change was taking place so we were taught both.

My whole issue with Canada in general is it's a confused mix of british and American, there's no consistency with anything.
