I'm still at the port in NJ this morning. Figured I'd call Genius today and ask more questions. No real updates.

The dates in their system are that VDC initiated processing on Nov 21 and then finished on Nov 27 (there were no port installs), and on Nov 27 it finished processing and was released to the truck carrier. She also mentioned that when they have a date in the system like that, usually it means it's outside the VDC and actually on a truck at the center. She's wondering if it's waiting for other cars to fill up the truck. Anyone's guess really.

Sorry that’s so frustrating when you waited and then obviously the quality checks were not done and then it’s not prioritized.

I wonder if you push to get a loaner, they would speed it up.

I have a 5 series they dropped off. That was non negotiable, but nice of them a a well.

I just told them to have the general manager call me for compensation. The service manager called back, offered free all season tires and winter rims.

I’m beyond happy again now, I expected 1-2k in “compensation” so the above is going above and beyond in my opinion. (I live in NY, so this is big)

That’s is more detail than I have gotten from the genius. Tells me they are still processing backlog of cars.

I did, got the PS4S. Just left them at the dealership for storage for the winter and got the Conti DWS06s put on for the winter.

No clips in the rear either, but they placed an order for them for me and told me they will put them on when I get my 1200 mile service.

If you have the time, drop by the dealer you'll get the service done at and have them order them. Apparently there's some sort of shortage for them.

Mine ended up sitting at port with carrier assigned for 5 days, then took another 5 to get to the dealership. When it was released to carrier the dealership even assumed it would be moving and predicted 8 days before it actually arrived.

"Every car that arrives has a work order to complete the assembly of the car which looks like it was completed yesterday. Now we are waiting for the car to be assigned to a truck. Very likely the car arrives next week".
