That sux! my son did that to me one time so in return I knew his limit and when he couldn't get it up it dropped on his chest and I sat there for a few seconds looking at him like "you got it?"

What you have to do is fight the guy spotting you. Pull down while they pull up and give them a death stare then push it out on your own.

These guys built a solid base before ever touching gear. They looked better than 95% of the general population while natural. It goes to show you what genetics can do. With those genetics, their body responds better to even small amounts of stuff. Plus I will say it again.....being lean separates you from most people. I have been accused many times of taking stuff. Yeah...I have good genetics, but pictures can be misleading. I can look like a bodybuilder in my pictures. But until you put me beside someone for "scale"...you can't really see how big or small I am. Only then do you see that being 5'7" and 190 lbs lean isn't really as big as you may think it is when it's just me in the picture as compared to standing besides someone like my training partner who is an inch taller..and 35lbs heavier!

Last night there was a mega fit gym hoe working out with her short tubby boyfriend/husband/whatever (how he pulled her off I'll never know). She was dressed like she was ready for a porno (white see through leggings with a pink thong, cleavage popping out of her neon green bra, hair done, makeup done), he looked like he just got back from Walmart at 3am. The whole time he's trying to show her upper body exercises and "proper" form, which was terrible. And to make it even better, he would do whatever he could to stand in front of her or right behind her to try and cover up her goods so other dudes wouldn't check her out lol. It was hilariously pathetic to watch them do their thing. Normally I don't watch, stare or care about anyone in the gym, but if you bring the attention upon yourself, you kinda deserve it. |

Went to gym earlier today. Saw an end spot at the corner of the building the gym is in. There are other parking spots along side the other wall that forms the corner of the building and between the two rows of spots is a no parking hashed marked areas.
Some fool decides to park their truck in this no parking area; even though there were other spots within 3 spaces down. It amazes me how lazy people are. If you want an end spot, there are others around which do require a little bit of walking. Why the hell are you going to the gym if you can't even walk a few extra feet? |

I was annoyed this morning to come in and find gym chalk over everything in the squat/dead-lift racks.
I understand it's all part of the gear and has its place, but I have seen guys using chalk that can barely dead-lift 225. If your grip is that weak or slippery at that weight, buy some gloves or lower the weight and start working on some grip strength exercises. I have never used chalks or gloves. Now I do use straps, but that is only when I get into the 365+ range.

I'm guilty. I'm the glove guy. I see the looks I get from the bigger guys at the gym, but I don't care. It's a "Save the girlfriends silk and lace panties" thing. After I started working out, the callouses on my hands were destroying her panties.....I don't feel that I need to elaborate. There are worse things than being the guy at the gym in gloves......such as not having the panties or contents to worry about destroying.

haha that's a funny comment about the callouses destroying clothing.
I am amazed at how many people use chalk. I never care to use chalk because I am not a competitor who needs to track my lifts to a T. So I will do double overhand until I cannot hold the bar anymore. Then, I put the straps on. Funny to see people hate on straps though. back strength is more than just having the ability to grip a cylindrical bar. |
