You can link your BMW ID to each key so that way when you walk up to/ get in the car, it will have your seat profile and account ready to go. I have my BMW ID linked to my physical and card key, and both digital keys on my phone and watch. I don’t remember exactly where the “Link Keys” option is in iDrive but it is configurable.

Yeah that seems about right. Cheap for windows. Costed me 950 for all including windshield.

It would have been about $950 if I had opted for the highest-end Xpel tint they had. I went with a lower-end option.

I am in Austin, and got quoted $700 for all windows, including the windshield.

Lifetime warranty, ceramic. Not sure where it is compared to some other brands/offerings, but I've been there for my last few cars. Good customer service, and the higher brand dealerships nearby use that shop.

It could be because I have a great relationship with the shop, and they've done so many of my vehicles. They've always included the grille and front splitter if I have one. My wife did just drop off my new front grilles to get covered, which I will pay for because they are not installed in the vehicle, but the original grille was included in the initial work.

I was vacillating between 20 and 35 and the guy I went to who's been doing this for many years and has done many of my cars said the cognac interior will make it appear brighter with the windshield not being tinted.

I had 35% on my Mustang with a black interior and looking at it from the outside they appear very similar. I can tell a bit of a difference from the inside looking out but I'm very happy with it.

Nice. My guy walked me through those scenarios yesterday when I was deciding on tint. I think I will really like the 35%. I am a little leery on tinting the windshield and how that impacts the look of the other windows, but there were a couple cars there with the 70% done and it looked nice.

Also, the shop owner (obviously biased opinion) said that he thinks in Hennepin County law enforcement won't/can't pull you over for just dark tint; there would need to be another cause for pulling you over which then they could assess and ticket your tint. Thoughts??

I don't know about HC, but over here on the east side of town no one really bothers you for tint unless they are looking for a reason to stop you.

My kid got stopped for loud exhaust last week with his Mustang (basically straight piped) and he has 20% with a black interior and the cop didn't say a word and that's a department that stops a lot of cars for traffic violations. Of course each cop is different.

One thing I should add is I have a medical condition where I can get a doctors letter for the tint and he'll write it for 20%.
