ZVB Fully loaded. Allocation given end of July. No updates to production. Sales person told me SOP is November and that it was delayed due to the carbon buckets. Not really sure I believe the buckets delayed it or if I believe their timing.

I've been through the build and tracking process with German built BMWs, which is frustrating enough, but the Mexican build process seems even more annoying by comparison.

I mean - I barely believe anything they say, tbh...however the bucket thing supposedly is real. I don't believe you can order a 24 m2/3/4 w/ buckets at the moment

Wait what does that mean? You can't order it with the buckets? I thought that was just on the M3.

kyirx1st's 7/29 allocation order with buckets just hit final assembly. Timing is everything, I guess.
Edit: He has two on order - this is not the one with the Carbon Pack.

The buckets will continue to pop in and out of availability for the rest of the year. Been happening since back in March and won’t stop anytime soon. Very real shortage though.

I am in the exact same boat (or then none at all). People will receive MY24 before we get these 23's. I dont see how that makes sense or is fair at all.

Thinking of cancelling and reordering for the Spring.

My BG with carbon pack end of July allocation is still status 111 and I was told end of October production by BMW Genius hotline.

Hello to all! Need some advice on what you would do!

I have a MY24 that is at "Ready for Transport" status for a couple of days now. That deal is at MSRP. Probably a month or two away from delivery.

There is a BMW dealer that has essentially the same build as mine, minus the carbon fiber trim. That deal is also at MSRP, but it is a MY23. That vehicle will be ready tomorrow.

Would you patiently wait for the carbon fiber trim and the year newer MY24? Or take delivery of the MY23 without carbon trim?

its up to you to be honest. personally - if the car didnt have carbon roof/buckets/manual trans - I wouldn't buy it. thats just me. if you're indifferent to the carbon stuff, then theres your answer
