And my M2 is still in port. Al least folks searching for delivery info in the future will find a lot of great info here.

The week 38-42 gang is 🔥
Mine just changed to 'in transit'. I guess this is really the home stretch now.

Only a four hour drive. Should be at the dealership for check-in in the morning 🙌

I'm still waiting for the certificate of origin to arrive.

When I stopped by the dealer today I had them swap my summer tires (PS4S) for winter tires (Pilot Aplin 5) before I take delivery (in fact, the car hasn't even been through PDI - pre delivery inspection yet - where they check and enable everything).

I purchased the winter package from Wheelsco and had those installed and I took the OEM wheels home (before I've even taken delivery but I did pay). A couple of pictures attached of my new car next to my old car, and the BMW techs trying to fit the wheels into my old car (they did fit). The Wheelsco wheels felt so much lighter than the OEM ones.

The CA also told me that the M2 does not come with an M2 badged clip on the rear calipers. I'm not sure if I have been misunderstanding folks here, got confused as to what cars it applies to, or if the CA is mistaken, but what is the clip thing supposed to be for?

I saw a truck full of SUVs pull up to the dealer to unload cars. I'm glad I'm over that hump, but in case it's useful for anyone else, they can't unload cars until a salesperson comes to observe and document each car unloaded off the truck. So if it's in transit overnight, it probably won't scan in until the business day when people are working.
I got the same winter package! Can't beat it for $2450 shipped! Is your steering super light on the highway? I didn't get the chance to drive the stock setup on the highway. It seems to me that any micro movement on the steering wheel results in big lateral movement and with with such loose steering even on SPORT, it's just not ideal.

Picking up mine Dec 12th @ the PCD
The flight is booked and parts are stacking up. Dec 12th can't come soon enough. The worst part is I go pay for it on Dec 6th and all I leave with is a temp tag.

Oh nice, congrats!

I don't know yet, still haven't been able to take delivery of the car from the dealer. I won't be able to compare until the spring when the summer wheels/tires will go back on.

I was impressed with the wheels and package for the price. Curious to drive on them though, and will have to see if I notice the same as you.

This is true! Taking my Dad too! So that will be fun. Always wanted to order a vette and do a museum pickup. I think this will be just as fun if not better.

Mine should be at the dealer in NY today Will probably take a couple of days for title and prep and hopefully have it later this week. Temps should be close to 50 and not supposed to rain so I don’t have to worry about getting it home on summer tires.

They definitely came with branded clips on 2023 models. I guess I cannot say for sure that they come on the 2024’s because many seem to be missing them like I was. Fortunately, my CA promptly ordered them when I pointed it out.

Some have commented that they are more than just cosmetic but I’m not certain. The caliper definitely looks to be missing a piece it was designed to have, whether M branded or not.

This G87 steering is definitely much lighter than my other cars and I don't think it's your forge wheels that made the difference.
I thought my F22 228xi steering was on the light side, but then going into the G87, the G87 is just way light, even with the sport setting.

Not sure if I like it or not yet but surely would find out next autocross season. Maybe the G87 won't give me blister like my 228 would.

I am now a week in of ownership (technically tonight). I've put on a little over 100 miles and I still have a hair more than 1/2 a tank of gas left. I've been just driving around running errands with it for the most part. Took one extended drive and all in all its been really nice. I love having a sunroof again. The weather was in the mid 60s yesterday and it was nice to be able to open the sunroof for a little while on my way home. Wheels are still clean despite light rainy weather and no brake squeaks...at least not yet. Dodged a bullet today with CHIPS parked on the side of the road. Thankfully he put his radar gun down and was looking at something on his phone when I passed by. I don't think he even noticed me.

CA confirmed rear caliper clips were omitted starting 03/2023. Not sure if that's a build date or order date. They also confirmed that HAS alignment sheet is not required and was just the installer being nice. HAS installed cars have a sticker on the driver's side door jamb as a confirmation.

Good to know. I guess I won’t waste my time asking for the sheet or clips.

But I assume they did put the HAS adjustment tools in the trunk right?

They did. I also received in email that the car was aligned. It's not proof but at least it's something.

Sorry for all the questions, but was the email from the dealer or BMW/VPC?

I'm so glad everyone is finally enjoying their cars, especially those like xiven who waited for what seemed like forever! My title finally came in late today so hopefully I'll be able to collect mine soon as well.
