So I'm finding myself mostly speaking directly with the dealer staff this time around since I put the order in in January. Through him I got 3% off MSRP and a MF of 0.00123 (2.95% APR) on the lease. I've decided that if they try to pull any bs that I'm going to tell them this will be the last BMW I'm buying, or at least the last one I'm buying from them. As much as I would love to be able to say f off and walk away from the car and order it somewhere else, this process has just been too long and painful to go through again.

On Marinetracker.com, if you hover over the little icon for Glovis Spirit it says destination is "USWER". When you type that into search it comes up with New York.

Hopefully no more false alarms and we're actually next lol.

Yup, nothing here as well. Just called Genius again - still not released to carrier. No one knows why or seems to care to help. Day number 10 at Port NJ and counting. At a loss at this point.

I saw that thread of someone waiting 4 months for a windshield for their car and it has me assuming the worst at this point. I can't believe this is happening in the last leg of this 5 month venture

Terrible. I hope that is not the case for you brother. I'm pushing 5 months now too and really want to throw in the towel at this point lol being stuck at state-side VPC feels worse than any other part of this journey

I can’t believe the cars are still at the port! Unbelievable. I love how the dealers don’t know anything smh.

With the seats down,the trunk has a good amount of space. The Supra felt like a go cart inside 🤣

You guys need to raise hell. Someone knows something for sure and you need to keep busting until you find that someone and let you know what is going on. I'm hoping my car gets to the dealer next week. My loan was about to expire this week so I just took the loan before I had to reapply. I'd be pissed if my car was sitting at port or even a few weeks without anyone telling me why.

You guys!! I think I have an update for all of our cars. So my manager heard back from the VPC, apparently about 150 or so cars were way dirtier than expected, and are receiving full details to make sure there aren't any scratches or any other damage to them. So the hold up is the fact that they're fully detailing 150 cars, which would probably explain why some of you have started to see your cars move incrementally, almost one or two a day or so. Apparently I will be getting the car by the end of the month! At least I hope lol I am taking this with a grain of salt.

After 3 weeks in "Final Assembly" and another week in "Ready for Transport", I just flipped to "Awaiting Carrier Assignment".

There is a WW ship, the Morning Cello currently in-route from Veracruz to Galveston. From there, it goes back to Altamira, MX on Monday then to Brunswick, GA and Baltimore before making 2 stops in Europe.

I am hoping to be loaded onto this ship during the return stop in Altamira, en route to Brunswick.

I am wondering if the Veracruz load goes to the central US and the Altamira stop is to transport to the eastern / southeastern states?.. Then again, I have no way of knowing if there is even a single BMW on this ship !?!

Genius' new reply: "Your 2022 BMW M240i xDrive Coupe left the Veracruz Port on July 5, 2022, and is estimated to arrive at the Baltimore Vehicle Processing Center on July 21, 2022. It is not showing as arrived yet in our tracking system."

No idea how long the cars would stay in VPC.

I know nothing about how the cars are transported but aren't don't they have that white protective film on them? Maybe something happened that they came off??

So to my understanding they come wrapped in like a fabric bag kind of like the ones you see the Audis wrapped in when they're on trucks, they take the bag off the car and inspect the body for any damage, and then they wrap it in the white plastic film that covers the hood, roof, and trunk.

Seems that we are on the same path yy383…

I talked to my SA yesterday and asked what's his best guess when it will end up at the dealer from what he has experienced recently and he said he would expect by the end of next week.

He also said he is going to keep a close eye on it each day and let me know as soon as he has an update.

When he does, I'll be sure to share - I am in the Pittsburgh area.
