I got a ride in this the other day, while out backcountry touring. This was at ~11k’, -25°F. I’m kicking myself for not getting the details (not even the make and model, lol). Super cool little cat!

The Silver Cloud era at Rolls-Royce ushered in a new era with technical advances and ever more luxury. The Silver Cloud I used the old straight six engine. In 1959, the Silver Cloud II adopted a 6.2-liter aluminum V-8 engine providing improved performance and throughout the era additional equipment became either standard or optional.

The Silver Cloud II saloon was built in-house, while coupes and drophead coupes were available from coachbuilders.

Here are a couple of 1959-60 Silver Cloud II saloons and a H.J. Mulliner-bodied drophead coupe.
