The rear lights look weird, front is bland..
Interior much nicer than current generation. I don't like it but I think I will like the M-version. It's the same for me with the current gen, the M2 looks great, the "regular ones" are bland.. |

To buy a Nissan is a really bad idea Don't expect it to hold it's value And Nissan service is awful

Nissan is a downright terrible brand. Has been for decades. There wasn't a single car worth buying after the r34. Nissan is headed the Mitsubishi route. Won't be long before it's dead. |

Looks great, love it from all angles. Couldn't have asked for more, well done BMW. With a few minor cosmetic mods it will look even better. Can't wait for the M2, in RWD stick shift format.

Wait, how did you lose leg room, shoulder room, trunk space, head space....and they made the car 4 inches longer and 2.5 inches wider? |

Taking into account that the 2 Series (and the old 1 Series coupe) always had kindoff a bulky / bulldog look to it, IMO this new generation is "okay", although I think they could have done better.
I was not expecting a 3 Series dash, but I assume that is to cut costs. |

It's interesting to note that there is a default reaction to anything new from BMW. Has everyone become mindless clones that can not look at something new and decide for them selves?
Any BMW nut will tell you BMWs look better in real life than in pictures, it's just true. Yet, no body takes this into account when BMW releases a new car. Odd... |

A lot of the design compromises, at least in the front, look to be due to all the added safety sensors. It started with the last gen lci where they had to connect the grill for the center front bumper sensor. Now they had to put that hideous triangle shaped sensor at the bottom.

A few observations:
1) The front over hang is excessive. Here I was knocking Honda for their new goofy looking Civic. This is what happens when you try to fit a sedan chassis to a coupe offering. I suppose the flip side is the longer wheelbase, which will provide a more comfy ride. 2) So this M240i get the Power Dome but not the M3/M4? 3) This gets a traditional grill but M3/M4 go in a totally different direction? 4) I like the Thundernight Metallic and the interior. |

What I'm interested in, since BMW's specifically look better in person than in pictures, is how the design process at Munich transpires. Is it a process of revisions and ultimately a "ah yes, this is it.... and yes, we trust it'll look good in person".
