As a casual observer with some interest in the new M2, it's crystal clear that everything predicted has come true:
1) The car is more grown up and M4 like 2) The car is even less like the 1M than the previous generation 3) If you are happy about #1 you will like and agree with the reviews that say as much 4) If you are sad about #2 you will like and agree with the reviews that say as much 5) Whichever side you fall on you will not care about the opposing viewpoints and may even actively make fun of them The new M2 is exactly what we expected, a 2023 BMW more like their future and not their past. Each person decides if that's what they are looking for. Arguing that one or the other is better or worse is a good way to kill time but ultimately pointless. |

My SA is going to slot his car into 4th at 30mph on the way home today and report back to me how it is. Hint: he was laughing his ass off at this.
Edit: M2CS |

In my builds for both the M4 comes out $17k more - not a trifle. I do wish BMW (really most manufacturers) would realize just because you want a lower (smaller) model does not mean you want to give up some of the niceties. I would gladly pay for full Merino leather, forged wheels, etc.

Femto is currently the only available true tune (I discount piggybacks as tunes) at this time and for the foreseeable future for G8X (G gen M2/M3/M4 as well as the M240). The ECU needs to be sent off to Finland.

If I wanted a true GT and comfort, I would absolutely get the M4. This is supposed to be for me exactly what it is, slightly more "sporty". |

Thx (I thought I had seen it). With people still posting new review threads and/or posting reviews in other existing threads, was not going to waste the time to go search for it. |
