MP HAS port installed drop at 10mm, still running the oem 275s up front, 19×10+11 SLAs. Zero rub.

Wanting to go 285 up front at some point, wonder if height or camber adjustment may allow for this without rub. Thoughts AndyVTForged ?

Not trying to be a wise guy - but why are people trying to run such a wide tire up front ?

Few reasons that some may try to run the 285 up front. Some may be wanting to run it for track purposes, others may be wanting to run it to have a little more sidewall up front. Tires are a personal preference thing and luckily on a car like the G87 M2 (being RWD), you have many choices to get the look and feel you want. On AWD vehicles, it's a bit more tricky since you have to keep the overall diameter front to back similar.

It was enough to break the plastic louvers on one side. The rubbing is confined to a small area near the outside of the liner and I considered doing a mod myself but did not have the bandwidth right now, so I got the very expensive RKP modified liners from IND.

The following photos show 1) & 2) the area of rubbing, 3) the new liners, 4) using a heat gun and dolly to bend the ridged area, 5) the wheel well with liner removed, and 6) new liner in place.

The result was successful, but there is still only about a millimeter clearance at that raised ridge area, but slight contact is not going to hurt anything. I am concerned that the open mesh of the new liner is going to let more debris through coming off the tire compared the the angled louvers.
Greg which 285s did you go with up front? Just curious if side wall difference played a role?

Michelin PS4S 285/35-19 on 9 1/2 +5s. Still a tiny bit of rubbing at full lock even with modified fender liners.

Just put in my order for RS-S in gloss bronze with matching carbon caps. The variety and ability to customize with a quick return sold it. Can’t wait. Every question answered.
