That’s an odd camera capture. Never seen BG look that bright.

Really? I have witnessed clients walk on priority one orders because it looked similar to that in direct sunlight.

I had to use translate to read this article. According to them it's white.

Live from the Brussels Motor Show: the new M2. What do we think?

BMW does not need a large grille for a controversial design. They prove that with the new M2 . It doesn't have huge kidneys, but opinions are still very much divided about this car. One thinks it's nice and thick, the other thinks it's an ugly cage.

At the Brussels Motor Show, which started today, we can admire the new M2 in person. It is a virgin white copy with black rims. Or no, gold rims. Or no, both. BMW has mounted different rims on the left and right. So you can choose.

Under the hood we see the 3.0 liter six-in-line that we also know from the new M3 and M4. The power has been reduced slightly, because there must be a difference. Instead of 480 hp, the six-cylinder in this M2 delivers 460 hp.

It won't be the drivetrain. Maybe because of the weight. The new M2 not only looks thick, but is also seriously heavy. You see here 1,725 kg (!) of car.

We will find out how much you notice this in the driving test. For now the question: is the appearance of the new M2 a bit too much? Just call.
Source: This is the new BMW M2 in real life! (translated)

I love BG in direct sunlight but those pics look more like hockenheim than BG. But you’re right that is BG.

No way that is AW,it has to be BG.The pics also confirm that the non shadowline adaptive LED headlights get the gold strip like the M240i.

Where do you see the gold strip? The headlights shown are Shadowline as the chrome strip at the top of the headlight is MIA. I possibly might be going blind alongside Tag

Yeah... Isn't that a shadowline one anyway?

Shadowline headlights and exhaust tips are not linked in every country (Canada is one those markets).

To me, it looks like the picture with the gold wheels have shadowline and the one with the black wheels might not. Unless it is the same car that they swapped the shoes and took another set of pictures.

I think the issue is the features are all different for different markets. I don't know why that is. Like why would M belts be standard for US and an option for Germany

Been that way since the dawn of time. Tons of F87 equipment differences between markets. 2NH brakes standard here, optional everywhere else. 3 different audio systems, we only got h/k. Many more.

AW and BG and ZB are all so close to each other it's odd that BMW picked these colors out of the 5 available. The Mexico blue individual color on the BimmerPost front page looks so good as if its destiny should've been the M2.

Yeah, I know, I'm rehashing it all over again. I'll shut up now.

Completely agree! They needed to do a more true M blue (like in the logo) and or a sharper darker gray (like skyscraper). I’m sure they will eventually. I’m debating if I want to spend $10K more on a M3/M4 just to get skyscraper gray and red interior!

Game can you please explain the benefits of not going with a square set up on a RWD car? Not trying to be a smart ass...wheel set ups are new to me and would appreciate the knowledge, thanks!

I can take a crack at this. It's pretty simple, all the power goes to the rear wheels, so you want a staggered setup with wider tires on the rear to put that power down. Another question you may ask is what if you keep the rear tire width the same as it is but install a tire that's just as wide up front. That would also be a square setup. Some people do this for track as it makes the car more balanced and reduces understeer, but that also requires playing with camber setup. I would not recommend this for street use however. Most manufacturers give a car a bit of understeer to keep you out of trouble. Having a wider tire up front will also be prone to tramlining.
