The launch in April is marketing, not vehicle launch. . There is no delay if BMW never intended to launch the vehicle in April to begin with. https://g42.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=913 |

Couple that with my SA used the word "delayed" in his correspondence to me regarding an internal memo. I don't know if that's his word, or if it's from the memo, but in his mind it's a delay. I may try asking him for the memo, but I also don't want to cross professional boundaries by asking him for something that he probably isn't allowed to provide.

This is ridiculous…just give us the date and rationale for delay BMWNA and no “covid chip delay excuse either”.
I’ve swapped back and forth between AW, TR and BG. My Eidleweiss 20” around are already power coated gloss gold ready for installation 🤣🤣🤣

Agreed this is ridiculous. My local dealer has an allocation for a ct4v bw 6mt and every week I'm getting closer to putting a deposit down on it

They're awesome but I just have something against Government Motors. I reconsidered a few times but I've now ruled it out.

Funny how one person mention January 23 as the possible "allocation release day" (and based on what?) and it seems as many have run with it. Hmmm...now could this be how rumors are started?
My dealer, who is not a small dealer, says allocations in general usually come out in the first two weeks of the month. |

Nothing has been changed pertaining to the launch. This was part of the plan as it has always been April 2023, BUT what kind of launch was unspecified. We now have that intel. I am number one at our center and I have been since early Summer 2021. My build has been in the order bank since it opened for the G87, Oct 15th. Irregardless, this changes nothing. BMW will do what they need to do. All the impatience and complaining will not change a thing. It is what it is… if we do not like it we can always go and purchase something else. I grant you BMW will still sell the car to someone else whom is more than willing to wait. Quote:
Unfortunately, no. In the grand scheme “marketing” is not technical the above, not internally. BTW, BMW’s marketing is handled by a third party. It seems like I read something last fall where BMW had terminated their current marketing and were seeking to sign another company. Last edited by T_U_D; 01-23-2023 at 10:51 AM.. |

I presume nothing changes for us ordering the Carbon Package?
Not that I ever gave any weight to the Jan. 23rd date anyways. Just wait it out, folks. It will be worth it and you’ll be glad you did! |

I don't have an issue with it. If there's a delay, I'm fine with it, though I'm disappointed that the car might not be available for a meaningful portion of the summer driving season. However, saying there's no delay for US customer cars when other smaller regions have had real live allocations for weeks and are apparently getting their cars right on time for the April "marketing" launch doesn't make sense. |

Again, I am going back to BMW never said launch and vehicle availability was April 2023 for the U.S. if the first vehicles are delivered in April, anywhere in the world they have made their commitment.
We have assumed that we arr April launch and we are wrong. So are any dealers stating such - they don’t know any more than anyone else. We can wait or buy something else. So long as my urgency doesn’t change I’ll wait.
