Oh I was thinking about one of those. If you have ever driven a CX-5, how do they compare?

I have not. I like it because it's not the rounded egg shaped SUV like the 5.

I was worried when you posted the new amount, but when life gives you lemons.... Idk, this is actually just a bummer.

So after mulling everything over, and seeing the rising costs of repair, if insurance doesn't decide to total it, I have decided to sell it AS IS to an interested buyer and cut my losses here.

Sucks, but, I just want to start over at this point. When it was around 20K, ok, but faced with months of waiting on parts, I'm just going to move it on.

Sad to hear. Selfishly I hope you end up with a MY25 M2 since you're such a tremendous presence on the forum here.

Good luck!

We have a Cx5 I hate it very much but my girl is so cheap she won’t replace it until it dies. I’ve secretly not changed the oil for 2 years (81k mile on the car now)

You gonna keep hanging out here in G87 forum land? Or move totally over to G29 land?

You shouldn't neglect any vehicle, whether it be yours, a loved ones', a strangers, or an enemy''s. For personal gain is even more concerning.

This is sad, hopefully you return with another g87 allocation, or you link us to where your z40 build is. Your build style is similar to mine, but always a degree off one degree or another, and that balance of perspective is appreciated.

Goddamn animals. I saw about 40 in the span of a two hour spirited drive down NY-97 yesterday, couldn’t help but think of you. Sad to hear you’re leaving the team but I know you’ll be around and we’ll finally get that drive in when our Z4’s arrive.

Yes sir. I'm really looking forward to the manual Z4. My luck, though, is as soon as I take delivery BMW will announce production of that coupe they were teasing.

And that's really what's driving the cost. The BMW M tax. There's no reason the muffler alone is a $3500 part other than that.

Sir, that's an M Performance Muffler, formulated with the latest Turbo Encabulator technology to maximize performance. Well worth the $3500.

Really bummed for you. It is amazing how fast the $$ add up when they are limited production/availability parts. Good luck on the Z4M
