Not me, but when I called today they said they don't know which port.
I think the running hypothesis is that they're all sent to Veracruz, but the boats they're loaded onto all stop in Altamira afterwards. If the above is true, then trying to figure out which ship might pickup a load of cars needs to plan stops at both ports. Anyone know otherwise? |

This is all speculation, but looking in Google maps, there is only one railroad out of SLP and it travels south through Mexico City to Veracruz. I imagine if BMW wanted to move a lot of cars, they’d ship them by rail. Otherwise, it’s a long road through the mountains east to Altamira. Not impossible, but also, probably not the most cost-effective route.

If anyone thinks their car is on the Glovis Cardinal, it docked at Brunswick (GA) early this morning. Should be unloading SE cars by this afternoon and then off to its next port (Baltimore?).

CA sent me this and said "It shows to probably be docked in Brunswick now and should be processed and set up for trucking dispatch to our store."
How did you guys figure out what boat you're on? |

I am now In Transit on the tracker as well.
I only know the boat because my CA proactively sent it to me yesterday before the tracker updated. I assume anyone east coast bound that is now in Transit is on the Glovis Cardinal. |

Also, it does appear the GC is already moored in Brunswick as of 9:30am EST, so hopefully a quick stop and those south east cars get unloaded and delivered quickly!

Yes, they know which ship it is on. Your CA also can tell you - the CA's computer has a separate tab called STATUS that has the port, the ship, departure date and even the bill of lading number. My CA sent me a screenshot of his computer screen so I know it exists and the information it contains.

My friend who ordered one, originally had a build week 39 allocation but theirs ended up being built in week 38, and their status also changed today to In Transit. Good luck you week 38'ers!

My Garage updated today! Hopefully my CA sees the same and give me a better estimate of how long from port to dealer will take. 1-2 weeks seems kind of long to go from Port Jersey to Springfield. |

My CA speculated about 2 weeks from traveling to the Port in mexico to dealer... While I think he may be a tad optimistic, I'd love for that to be true.

For all you 165'ers that aren't on a ship yet (or at least that we know of), here is another ship heading to the east coast on 10/9 that our cars have the potential to get on.

Let's go load those trains and boats. P.S. SLP plant had record production in September (see thread below I just posted): https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2053310 For those not yet built, it should go very fast.

You can call your CA or Genius and they will tell you production week. Should be 42. Once you go to "Production Started" And have a VIN, you can use the browser trick to see your actual production date, options list, etc. (look a few pages back for info on how to do it)
