Enjoy your half baked science experiment. I hope one day you don't become one of the statistics.
The “science experiment” is now worth 1.37 TRILLION dollars worth pretty much as all the major automakers combined chief. But you keep on being a FUD peddler terrified of FSD and live in the past. You unhinged haters are just hilarious and all the same

I know what level 3 is nitwit. I never claimed it to be full level 3 just that hands were no longer required on the wheel which they are NOT and haven’t been for months. It ok. Calm down didn’t mean to trigger you

I put him on "block/ignore" because reality and facts escape him.

I talk about independent validation and certification and he says I'm spouting FUD.

He says my experience in ADAS and ISO26262 are irrelevant, because he doesn't even know what they are.

He won't read links that show NHSTA investigating Tesla because it will challenge his views.

I'm glad there are other reasonable people here.

How typical you try to dish it out but can’t take it so you run away to your safe space. Good riddance

Back when I got my first Tesla in 2018 I joined several forums, including Tesla's own. That was the absolute worst. It was a huge echo chamber of people wanting to believe they have found the next holy grail. Somehow thinking the valuation of the company or Elon's net worth means the product is good. Frame of reference is zero. Attack anyone who dares criticize the product. You're a FUDster. Scared. Can't see the vision.

I have 4 years and 90k miles of experience with the product. If you look at my (multiple) posts and threads on EV's on this forum, and even on Tesla, they are generally positive. But I also call a spade a spade and while Tesla does many things very well, they also do many things extremely poorly. Unfortunately people who are blinded by their fanaticism can't even remotely be objective, so things like facts, data, science and good judgement get tossed out the window.

The worst part is people like that do so much more harm than good. Not only to Teslas but also to EV's. They generate opinions found by others in this thread against EV's because their forceful, fact-free diatribes naturally turn people off. They make people WANT to hate EV'a whereas in realtime most people would have less strong of an opinion.

The biggest issue with EV's is the maturity level and where we are on the development curve. Imagine buying a car post war. Advancements were moving fast and soon your car was outdated. Now multiply that by about 100. The EV advancements move so fast your car is outdated BEFORE you buy it. That's why a SDV like Tesla is successful. Their ability to push meaningful OTA's goes a long, long way in combating obsolescence. In 2.5 of the 4 years of my ownership, my cars got over 25 major improvements. I'm not talking Christmas jingles, but better braking, lighting, performance, track mode, not to mention dog mode, side cameras while turn signals on, etc.

That value cannot be understated.

Blah blah blah…

And people like you instantly label anyone defending anything Tesla does a “fanboy” or a “Stan”. Pot meet kettle. What funny is the only car brand I’m actually a fanboy of is BMW. I also think teslas are great cars but have plenty of flaws (build quality is a big one) and I happily call those out. But where you completely go off the rails is FSD which is improving in leaps and bounds daily, yet haters like you want to stick with a tower of dated sensors taped on the roof of a Chevy bolt (rather than AI) and say that’s “better” and safe and blab all sorts of useless certifications no one but your ilk cares about or heard of. But keep living in the past enjoy, and keep spreading blatant falsehoods like FSD isn’t hands free SMH

Imagine cars this powerful that don't require any modifications or smog checks. Not many stock 1200HP ICE cars for under $400000.

Imagine being such a rabid fanboy kool aid drinker that you feel compelled to go on a BMW website in a thread discussing a BMW EV and argue that your Tesla is superior.

Think about the lack of self awareness, self reflection and critical thinking that requires.

Nobody cares. Because everyone here knows Tesla's faults.

One of which is convincing people that FSD "is hands free" when it literally says this on the Tesla website:

https://www.tesla.com/support/autopilot

It literally says "required driver supervision" and "does not make your vehicle autonomous"

I mean, how much more brainwashed can you be?

I purchased my first ///M car in 2022 (CPO F80 M3 CS). I had wanted an M3 since 2002 … 20 years of lusting for the most magnificent ICE vehicle on this planet (IMO!).

I’ve owned four other 3ers along the way, plus two Hondas and a Toyota. All great ICE vehicles (IMO!).

I don’t necessarily “want” an EV… mainly because it’s new and unfimiliar and seems like it may be less visceral of an experience behind the wheel. And I fully admit these are selfish and closed minded personal reasons!

But dang… to have BMW ///M design an EV for its enthusiast customers seems AWESOME to me. As a fan of the brand, I trust their judgement and engineering expertise. The EV product they ultimately deliver may not be perfect, but I am willing to give them a chance… and I’ll probably try and find a way to buy one when they’re released. After all, the ICE M3 has delivered generation after generation… why would we expect an EV to be any less?

It is saddening to see so much hate in this thread over this transition to EV.

If you truly don’t like what BMW is doing, the cool thing is you get the chance to start your own car company and make something better. After all, that’s the American Dream!

End rant.

Hey nitwit, I don’t care what some lawyer makes them print on the website. Steer wheel nag was taken away in 12.4 period end of story. Attentiveness since then has been monitored by the cabin camera, if it sees you looking away from the road or holding a phone it warns you then disengages, it does NOT in any way require you to put your hands on the wheel anymore and hasn’t for months. For all intents and purpose it’s completely hands free whether you can comprehend this or not.

Want me to post 3 dozen more of these??

I swear it’s like taking to a friggen wall. Unbelievable

And again stop with “you are a Tesla fanboi durrrrrrr” crap. lol it’s nonsense. I own 2 BMWs they are my primary cars

No…what happened to the beautiful vision neue klasse? It had negative angled front and back creating an illusion of very short overhangs and it sharp angles in general honing back to the E30 and prior designs. This mule has a massive rear overhang. Hopefully it’s just padded with camo. As for EVs, we all carry baggage, mine is loving ICE motors and their different characters and personalities. So no EV for me other than self driving taxi to bring me to and from the pub…

When it's already a beast, you won't care.

My i4 M50 has almost 540 ponies and 580lb-ft of torque.

I run out of road long before I run out of car.

Yeah no tuning but 100hp and almost 200lb-ft torque more than my tuned N54 335i.

Interesting how it looks, and to be honest, I'm intersted to see the final product in 2028.

Having said that, as many of you wrote here, if it'll be added to our garages, it'll be add..... and won't replace our current M's, so I don'0t see the problem, when you want an ICE or an elecrtric dfrive, we've both the keys....so the problem doesn't exsist at all.

Maybe some of us (mee too) will change their opinion about an all electric M in the meantime? time will tell us. But I'm not afraid to have an all electric M car, If in my garage sit a pure ICE M3 beside it to have a different driving experience, as I wrote above.
