Did they just shove it out the truck? (I hear the VPC is really good at fixing these things, so this must have happened on the port to dealer leg)

I feel so bad for you, but hopefully in a few days it will be all taken care of. BSM is such a fire color for the M2. I'm glad I ordered mine in black as well.

I agree. my last bmw was bsm - I loved the...idk what color its been a while..but like teal and fuchsia colored flake in the sun? if it wasn't for wanting to contrast the carbon roof and black wheels, id have ordered it again. looks so mean on this car

My dealership's HEA was damaged in transit. My M2 arrived with damage that was mostly repaired at the VPC. This is happening far too frequintly.

Random chance of the car coming w/ Pirelli P-Zero's or Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. The Michelin perform and look better, so when people say they win or lose the tire lottery it's whether their car came w/ Michelins or not

Doesn't appear so. You'd imagine cars coming with the $9900 pack that includes a track day would get the better tires.

But no, I've seen them come with both options. Seems to be random based on whatever they have laying around the factory at the time.

It varies site to site, but I along with most prefer Michelins. I've always run them on my cars and motorcycles. They have better wet performance, more grip when pushing the car, and will get more miles out of them. That's the first site that I've seen say many of those things.
The Pirellis will still be totally fine, and will give me a reason to upgrade to 285/305 setup next year.

Those are the all-seasons that are being discontinued.

The tires from that giulia forum link are the all seasons, the Michelins that come with the M2 are the Pilot Sport 4S which are not discontinued. Their successor, the Pilot Sport S 5 was announced earlier in the year but is only going to come from higher end OEMs for now.

For reference, I was also looking at a Dark Horse, which is going for $10-15k ADM in my area (Long Island, NY).

I wouldn't bother with a Dark Horse. The interior color combination and it really isn't different from a regular GT. The only thing I would want is the diffy cooler. The Getrag D4 doesn't bother me, a set of 4.09 gears goes a long way to alleviate the lack luster ratios of the D4. You can get a GT for 2% under invoice. The D4 trannie after 2019 pretty much got the kinks worked out of it. I have the D4 now in my 2020 GT with the 4.09 gears and the car runs like a raped ape.

There is going to be further deterioration in the car market. I expect prices even for the G87 to come down.

That comparison is is between PZ4 and Michelin Pilot Sport 4. The PS4 is a completely different tire than what is on the G87, which is the Pilot Sport 4 S - the S being the key, as in sport.

Again, that, report is for a completely different tire - the Pilot Sport ALL SEASON 4. It has nothing to do with the MPS4S that comes in the G87.

I know it can be confusing with Michelin's naming, but it is important to know which tire is being talked about.

Exact same. Hopefully they get them out in an orderly fashion. Not sure if they’ve cleared the backlog yet. I’m assuming you’re destined for a U.S. port? Which one?
