Yes that is what it means, however from the little bit of research I did, I don't think it updates from 165 until it's on a boat... but I could be wrong.

My car left the plant on the 11th and still hasn't been put on a boat. Some on here say the cars are shipping out of Altamira Port now and not Veracruz. Both ports are between 5-7hrs from the plant driving a car so I am not sure how long it takes by rail. I would say it's much longer by rail. I could be wrong.

well im banking on them being fully screwed up - mine sat at final assembly for 2 months and switched to ready for transport the day the morning chant arrived to Veracruz and im praying that means they started scanning cars preparing to load them up on that bitch.

also - am I missing something? what is the significance of this f12 trick. it just gives you the code# that the tracker already says. its no secret info im aware of

Tomorrow should finally be the day for me. Bumper getting repainted right now, new diffuser and quarter dent pulled. CA threw in a set of the M-perf cloth floormats and said he'd "see what else he can do" which is nice but kinda feels like a joke as a form of compensation for getting a damaged car after such a long wait. If the paint doesn't look absolutely perfect will 100% be fighting for more. Glad they got the work done so quickly though.

Do not sign the paperwork until you see the car and approve of the repairs.

Floor mats are not enough. They owe you more, IMHO.

And the end of the month looms. If they do not deliver the car by close of business Thursday it won't go on the books until September.

That may not matter to the dealer much, but if it does you might have some leverage for something more than freaking floor mats.

Be aware that the dealer did not cause the problem. It happened in transport, either on the RoRo or truck or somewhere in between. BMWNA is the one that should make an effort to mend things.

Agree to an extent, but respectfully disagree in terms of strategy.

The best person to put the squeeze on BMWNA is the sales manager of the dealer, not the prospective purchaser. But the dealer has to be motivated to do that, hence pressure the dealer otherwise you'll only get floormats.

You really have gone through the wringer on this one. Sorry to hear about all your bad luck. I hope to hell things go smoothly. I agree that, though your dealer isn't at fault, they are the ones directly representing BMW for their clients and their responsibility to go higher to make things right. If anything, warranty/maintenance upgrades to Ultimate Care and even an extension. Just throwing some ideas out there. Good luck!
