When I was a kid I remember channels 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13. Now we have hundreds!

...when you start missing important details while shopping. In the past week I bought laundry detergent that was clearly marked as lavender scented even though Wifey hates scented detergent (I'm no fan either), plus a jar of spicy/sweet pickles that I had tried before and didn't like. I missed the "spicy" part on the label this time. And then there are the new pedals I bought for one of my bikes that clearly won't work with the extenders I have. If I had been paying attention to detail, I would have caught that.

All of these are minor annoyances. But I'm worried I may one day miss a crucial detail that leads to much more than a minor annoyance. Tough to get old.

A friend's parents actually did that once...and finished all three jars of the stuff.....
