How does one gauge demand when the current inventory is at much lower levels than normal. Between my two dealers in my city they have one M-vehicle in stock, a X6M. Do we have actual production numbers to compare to past generations? If not, nothing can be judged.

That one isn’t bad - just don’t understand the rationale behind the headlight design.

I’m trying to figure out what it is, but this rendering looks soft to me - much like the new M4, curvy, but not in a good way.

Yeah not a fan of the tails either but I could live with them if the front was more cohesive.

I put a deposit down at my dealership 8 months ago for the G87 when I heard it would have 440hp+ and the S58 engine. Now that I've seen the M240i and this M2 front bumper, I can tell it's going to be sexy as fuck. No offense but I think a lot of people complaining here might be part of the older crowd who have owned several gens of BMW's. Change is a constant, just gotta get on with the times. I think the beaver grilles will grow on people too, from the pictures I've seen it looks super aggressive and a lot better than last gen.
I saw the same reaction when corvette announced the C8, the older crowd was furious.. fast forward to now and it's the hottest car in the used market. |

It's growing on me a touch. I'm not disgusted by this one like I was the G80 but I'm still not wowed. Maybe once it's out in the open and seeing it in person I'll love it. This time I'm waiting for the LCI or CS edition before I take the plunge though.

It’s already pretty fun watching the haters meltdown at the sales numbers now and I predict that these sales numbers of the RWD will be nothing compared to what the AWD will be. Is it wrong for me to thoroughly enjoy watching the haters meltdown as sales do nothing but skyrocket on this G8X? The RWD G8Xs have already demolished the F8X sales during the same time period. All of this and I have been told I missed the real hate that came on this forum six months ago. Oh well. Keep it going.

if this is indeed what it will be (obviously this is a render so probably not exactly), it is definitely MUCH nicer looking than the m240. I am not mad at it, with the right color it will be a nice looking car.
It looks very Japanese from the back and kind of like an audi from the front. |

These renders look amazing.I don’t get the hate for the rear taillights. They look good to me.People also beat up the design of the original F87 taillights but IMO they look way better than the LCI ones. With lemetier saying the leaked bumper pic isn’t the G87 bumper than maybe we will get something similar to this.

I am actually more interested at how BMW's new vertical large grill EV sales compares to the competition. I don't have high hopes for them.

I appreciate bright colors. Not every does. That's ok too. I still have yet to decide if I'm actually selling my CS. I do love the car with all my heart. It is the very best of a great chassis. If it was manual I would certainly keep it forever,

Actually went by my local dealer today (I like going on Sunday, when there's no sales guys to bother me) and saw my first G82 in person (I've seen the G80 a few times in the flesh). I looked at that thing from every possible angle, and it just doesn't do it for me. It looks a lot bigger than the previous gen, which isn't my cup of tea, and then the grill remains polarizing from my perspective. With that being said, and having owned / leased 8 BMWs, I have "moved on" if that makes sense. This design language / ever increasing size are obviously the way forward, for at least some of the different series cars. I don't want one, any least what's out there for new purchase at the moment, but I don't begrudge anyone who does. It's sort of like preferring brunettes over blondes. In any event, I think the F80 and F87 are two of the best looking Bimmers to come out in a while, and perhaps that's why you see such a strong reaction with the new G series cars and what folks think the next M2 might look like. The M2, in particular, is essentially the M3 of old, so I get why it matters to folks. Regardless of where someone lands on the spectrum, it's fun to debate back and forth, as long as that debate remains good natured and not personal in nature. Seems to be a lot of that around here lately, the uncivil stuff.
