Are you sure with that?
I think you just got an answer from RaceChip 3rd party support center which will give you an answer just because it is not listed yet.
I have installed many RaceChip for 2025 G82 M4 with the same map as previous MY, they are checked out to be working and running perfectly fine.
Also remember, you can always get it updated if indeed 2025 is using different map. No need to kept on buying a new one.

They replied to an email saying it wasn't compatible. I should have emailed you instead!

Did the G82 get a power bump like the G87 did for 2025?

Unfortunately, didn’t dyno it.
But usually things like this, like what BMW has done in the past, Max power still the same.
BMW pretty much milking us by upping the boost a little to get people to switch car to newer MY.

This is why I had to switch, but skyscraper gray and carbon buckets will be a welcomed change:

I’d like to report back. I have the G80 race chip tune on my G87. The difference is absolutely bonkers! Gears 1-3 disappear instantly. I have the tune, downpipes only.

Did you ever have the G87 RaceChip tune? Or is the G80 tune the only one you experienced? Just trying to see if there is a noticeable difference between the 2 of them as the difference between stock G87 and the G87 RaceChip is also very noticeable. Also any check engine lights on map 7 on long pulls?

I wouldn't do that.
There is a reason why they have different maps between G8x M3//M4 and G87 M2 and F97/F98 X3M/X4M. Even though all of them are on S58 engine.

I had the G87 tune before. The G80 tune is more aggressive and more powerful.

Would be interesting to see dyno or dragy numbers showing the difference between the 2 racechips on the g87.

Hi, can you explain how fuel savings are achieved? My idea is to always use 7map.. at constant speeds and light throttle, would there be less fuel consumption in map 1? How does it work?

I think the only fuel savings come from map 1 having less power output, and that's where the savings are... is that right? But that wouldn't affect constant speeds or partial throttle loads.

thanks!

I don't have a dragy. If someone has one in southern CA and would like to compare i'm in.

I'd be interested in a dyno too!

It is depending on your driving habit.
I personally don't care much about gas saving, but I have been getting a report that with Map 7, you save some gas since you are pressing less throttle to get your car going.
But, again, it is depending on your driving habit.

rons e92 hooked me up with his Racechip for a great price. I was going to wait until next spring to install but the weather here is warm enough to allow for some spirited driving for a while. Planning to tackle the install this weekend.

Anyone getting by just fine changing the settings directly on the tuning box vs buying the app with bluetooth connect?

The one you have has the bluetooth connection. I just deleted the Racechip+ app from my phone. Try to download it and enter the serial number. If you need an account we'll figure out how to transfer it to you. The serial number should be on that barcode on the first page of the instruction booklet.

i just installed my race chip tonight. I messed up and didn’t buy the bluetooth version. wanted to switch it out but shop i purchased from wanted a 20% restocking fee. after my install and power up i saw the bluetooth icon on the race chip and I downloaded the app. just like my previous versions with bluetooth my non bluetooth has bluetooth and works fine with the app.

the car is a monster now. i am running other supporting mods with a full TFL exhaust and Project Gamma Front Mount intakes. Im breaking loose my 305’s in 3rd gear.

Perfect time for all the mods in California. Boost Season!

How did it go installing the 1 connector on the lower right side of the engine bay? Heard that one can be a pain. Any pointers would be helpful.

My primary goal for installing this tune is to hopefully clean up some of the lower end revs lag, but not too much power where it's unusable. Im sure there will be plenty of experimenting.

I assume you are talking about the A connection. Front left or US driver side front.
You will need to remove the front left air box, remove the 10mm nut holding the electronic waterpump.
Lift it up, and reach in.
My suggestion, work on it when the engine is cold.
