Good lord. Why is it so heavy? It weighs as much as a Camaro ZL1. That's pathetic.
The red and blue on the seats is ugly too. What a shame. I'll probably still get one.

So in actuality, the G87 actually weighs more than the comparable G80.

Looks don't matter to me. How does it drive?
And the 48hp gain isn't much. Is the DME encrypted? That will be a game changer for me as a simple tune will net far more hp on the unlocked / unlockable M2C. |

I would like to believe that this community has a certain level… Pictures from previous models reiterate somone’s opinion. Plus, if he considers that is more beautiful, what? |

Truth be told, alot of F87 owners wanted to love this car and be ready to sell their car to buy it. No one is butthurt about the G87. I wanted to be ready to part with my F87 to buy a G87, but sadly that will not be the case.

They've launched it in a better colour to deceive the public and fans from the fact it's still ugly and heavy and will sound like a hoover, however looking closely for me the most interesting part is how close the performance is now to the M4.. 20bhp what is that really in 2023? M2 started out in the OG with horrid seats and a supposed non M engine ( which still in my mind was the correct engine because it was way more fun to drift ) to being basically identical to the M4 bar being smaller and I'm sure some finer details and 20bhp less..
Interesting it is, but still don't like the design language of the current BMW's, I shouldn't have to go to aftermarket companies like Vorsteiner and beg them to fix my rear because it looks like a Pokémon's face. |

Over all design is better than the G80/2. The official photos was close to how I expected if not a little better with great lighting and editing.
But this is basically the new M3/4, both in size and that weight. |

Its standard fare to witness the large scale bitching/moaning before a new car launch with this brand. Its really quite bizarre. |

Looks are relative.. many will hate this design, while many others will like it. I am now more neutral , but I could start liking it once I see it in person.
End of the day, there is no alternative out there to M2 for that price and even more on manual. So if it drives awesome and able to put power down, all good. I feel design looks aggressive, once you see it in person opinions could change. Even after seeing in person, don't like it don't buy it, but you like it buy it n enjoy |

the weight is really the only thing not to like, 36xx should be coming in 3-4 years when the CS launches
kind of a shame to know the same engine has another 100hp in CSL guise but that's the way it goes. |

Granted, we haven't driven the car yet to confirm whether or not that's the case, but on-paper specs are looking a bit meek. I can admit I'm being a bit biased HERE, though, because I'm comparing it to the specs of the F87C. Honestly, I think it's a good looking car and I'll echo some of the earlier posts about it having some JDM-ness to it (which I like). I'd need some seat time to really make a decision. Also glad we're getting an actual "new" car instead of a heavily re-worked previous gen (looking at you, new Z and Mustang). |
