I haven't been to many countries: I lived in Canada for about 10 years. I have lived in America for the rest of my life and am a first generation American.

I truly believe that overall, America is a great country. There are very few countries that have as much opportunity as America. If you work hard, keep your nose to the ground, and ignore the BS of politics, media, you can do extremely well here. I also think that America is a really diverse country in terms of cultures and talents. America is also one of the greatest providers of support around the world, even dealing with our own domestic issues. You are free to do whatever you please in this country within the confines of logic and the law. In many countries, you can't do that.

I think there are a lot of issues that need to be dealt with domestically (increased civil unrest, discrimination/racism, violence, corrupt politicians/media), but I still don't think I'd want to live anywhere else (Except perhaps Germany because of the Nurburgring and Autobahn.). I think there are a lot of Americans that are portrayed on the media to the rest of the world that give the country a bad name (i.e. Donald Trump). I don't think most of us here are like that.

I think Donald Trump is the least of our worries when it comes to image. The civil unrest and the wars started during the Bush administration have done much more to harm our global image than a billionaire blowhard. Most people in other countries have no idea who Donald Trump is.
